CoRoM is a wireless and batteryless sensing node with energy harvesting system that provides direct measurement of the temperature from the ConRod bearing, the most critical point in diesel engines. By continuously monitoring via Wi-Fi/BLE the ConRod bearing and oil temperature, CoRoM offers a proactive approach to maintenance, providing an early warning system for bearing seizure, and avoiding catastrophic engine failure.
