Drilling Fluid Grade – An important characteristic of Gilsonit is its softening-point temperature. In oil-base muds. It use as fluid-loss control agent because it`s hydrocarbon properties. It`s naturally wetted by oil. In water base mud, it is used as a shale-stabilizer additive and is difficult to evaluate unless tested at or above its softening point. Oxidized Bitumen 90-10 is made by ongoing or Staggered Blowing Process. Heated Penetration bitumen under controlled environment is blown with air which controls oil content in bitumen while it oxidized. Application Oxidized Bitumen 95-25 is a dark industrial bitumen. Petroleum residue modified by the oxidation process.
