The GEMÜ Q40 2/2-way pinch valve has a stainless steel piston actuator and is pneumatically operated. The valve guides a tube which is compressed from above by a compressor to control and regulate media. The compressor's specially developed contour and the inserts' contour minimise the strain on the tube and thus increase the tubes' service life. Tubes can be safely inserted and removed in simple steps and without tools. The available control functions are "normally closed (NC)" and "normally open (NO)". The nozzle consists of two counter-rotating nozzle housings into which the nozzle tubes are inserted with a connection for screw-in round jet nozzles. A special packing sealing system inside the nozzle housings ensures protection during operation and prevents the ingress of contaminants. In front of and behind the nozzle housings are spacers (basket system) to prevent the nozzle tubes from hitting the well wall. In addition, for best cleaning results, the temperature of the medium should be between 3 and 30°C.

For the abandonment of Offshore structures special legal requirements apply. Tubes have to be deconstructed under the seabed. This requires special technologies. Our Downhole Cutting Heads (DCHs) can be inserted into tubes and casings over an umbilical from the working platform. Arriving at the destination they clamp in the tubes and perform a 360 degrees cut which severs the tube underneath the seabed. The DCH is pulled out and afterwards the pulling of the tube is possible. Cuttings can be performed up to 150 m (500 ft) deep and pipe sizes between 7” and 72” diameter, whereby the wall thickness can be up to 20” thick. For every requirement we offer the appropriate DCH. By extensions nearly every kind of pipe/tubing/casing can be cut.
