The Blowair is an optional unit to the FE-8 to control the size of the bubble. A built-in compressor generates the air pressure, which is inflated or deflated, depending on the actual size. The Blowair is wirelessly connected to the FE-8 control panel. This device is used on blown film lines with continuously rotating dies. Application: The Blowair is designed to control the bubble size on lines with continuously rotating die.

The Tubair is an optional unit to control the bubble size. It inflates or deflates air into the bubble, depending on the actual size. The Tubair is directly connected to the FE-8 control panel and to the existing air pressure grid. It can be used on lines with stationary or oscillating die. Application: The Tubair controls the bubble size on lines with stationary or oscillating die.

The FE-8 is a modular system to measure and control the layflat width on blown film lines. It can be used as a simple measuring device or as a stand-alone control system package. The non-contact measuring bar detects the edges of the film by two infrared sensors. In this way, it calculates the layflat width. The advantage of this measuring method is that the real layflat width is registered, after the shrinking of the film. The FE-8 Measuring bar is a non contact width measuring system for blown film lines. Two infrared sensors detect the edges of the film, so that the layflat width can be calculated. The advantage of this method is that the real film size that goes on the roll is measured. That makes the FE-8 a valuable tool, also on lines where the bubble circumference is measured, as this is typically before the bubble shrinkage. The K-500 Rotomat KT is a new, completely redesigned thickness gauge for blown film lines. The capacitive thickness sensor of the K-500 is protected by a cover made from cintered ceramic with a very smooth surface. That allows an extremely low wear measurement of the thickness, even though the K-500 is constantly in contact with the film. The Rotomat KT in the third generation comes with a virtual data processor as a standard. The so-called VDP Process runs in the background of a Windows PC, similar like a driver of a printer. This Win32 application, which runs on Windows XP or later, forms the interface between the control system of the line and the thickness gauge, as well as up to 2 optional width measuring units FE-8.
