Pressure reactor for kilo labs and small-scale production Reactor volume: 20 to 500 liter Pressure: -1 (FV) to +200 bar Temperature: -20 °C to +300 °C Material: stainless steel, Hastelloy® Other materials, pressures & temperatures are available Buchi pilot plants are built for pressure reactions as well as for reactions under full vacuum. Different technologies and materials are used, depending on the requested process and process media. Pilotclave pressure reactors range from 50 - 500 liter and are all customized. To quote such systems we require detailed specifications. Safety is important with such larger scale systems, especially when doing hydrogenations and other reactions under higher pressure. The degree of automation and process control vary from simple data collection to complete automation of the system. In most cases, the reaction vessels are jacketed steel or Hastelloy® reactors.

Mobile gas scrubber (volume scrubbing liquid) : 6, 10, 20, 50, 100 liter Mobile gas scrubber (column diameter): DN 50, 70, 100, 150, 200 Stationary gas scrubber (volume scrubbing liquid) : Customized according to process requirements Stationary gas scrubber (column diameter): DN50 up to DN600 Pressure: -1.0 (FV) to +0.5 bar Temperature exhaust gas: -60 °C to +200 °C Temperature scrubbing liquid: 0 °C to +80 °C Material: Borosilicate glass 3.3, PTFE, ETFE Gas scrubbers are used to neutralize corrosive exhaust gas from reactors. Depending on the scrubbing liquid, they can be used for caustic or acidic vapors. Gas scrubbers are equipped with an ETFE lined, corrosion resistant magnetic coupled pump. The flow rate of the scrubbing liquid can be controlled with the built-in reducing valve. The scrubbing liquid temperature is maintained by a spiral cooler in the liquid circuit.

Glass pilot reactor and pilot plant Glass reactor: 15, 30, 60 liter Pressure: -1.0 (FV) to +0.5 bar Temperature: -60 °C (-90 °C) to +200 °C Material: Borosilicate glass 3.3, glass-lined steel, PTFE, PFA, tantalum A clean-room setup and other materials are available to meet your specific process requirements. Performance and reliability are key issues in the explosion proof design of Buchi glass reaction systems. The inert materials allow safe processing in an inert atmosphere of a wide range of solvents and acids in a completely sealed glass reaction system under full vacuum. Multiple chemical reaction steps are performed safely in the same setup. The system consists of: Reactor, solid jacketed full view glass reactor to easily improve and control chemical reactions by visual observation Distillation glass overhead built with buchiflex components (unique flexible ball - socket joints) for mulitple, reliable processes under full vacuum

Measuring points with extremely high process temperatures require these special thermometers with ceramic or metal thermowells as well as thermocouples made from special metals, such as platinum and rhodium. The thermowell made from special materials protects from mechanical and chemical damages in the process and increases the life span of the used sensors. This leads to: Cost savings for maintenance of the measuring point, quality improvements of the products and increased plant safety.
