Diamond offers High Temperature (HT) fiber optic metal assemblies developed specially to withstand operating temperatures beyond the range of conventional plastic connectors over extended periods. The HT assemblies rely upon a combination of specialized assembly techniques and materials, together with special fibers with appropriate coatings suitable for deployment in harsh environments. Diamond HT solutions’ benefits extend to temperature applications up to 150° C (302°F) for use in severe conditions within industrial, military, aerospace, off-shore, telecom, and other environments. These add up on top of traditional advantages such as immunity to electromagnetic interference, better environmental stability and enhanced remote sensing compared to traditional electronic sensors. Diamond HT standard assemblies are available in PC and APC version with standard MM or SM fibers. Other configurations are available upon request.

Based on proven experience with the realisation of past successful projects MPS has designed and characterised a scalable Theta/Phi fiber positioner for Multi-Object Spectrographs. The positioner has been designed with the purpose of adapting readily to the requirements of any Multi-Object Spectrograph, which requires precise positioning of optical fibers. Whether MOONS, FPS, MEGARA, or DESI, each project has so far developed its own fiber positioner from scratch, with all of the risks and long lead times linked to such a complete new development. The positioner presented here intends to significantly reduce the development time, costs, and eliminate unforeseen risks. The design is easily scalable in size, length, and shape. The positioner size starts at a diameter of 9.5mm and is scalable to fit any customer specific requirements. It is capable of reaching any target within 5 µm with just two correction moves.

Diamond has developed an advanced COTS MIL-38999 style connector that demonstrates exceptional performance in demanding optical applications. For the first time, rugged 38999 connectors are available for use with small-core single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose (DM) insert, the connector incorporates four (4) termini with Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini for repairs can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer.

Diamond has developed the new rugged, reliable, IP 67, push-pull actuating HE-2000™ harsh environment connector with superior optical and mechanical performance for demanding applications. Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose insert, the HE-2000™ connector incorporates four termini using Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. The optical and electrical termini are protected from dust and water with the unique automatic protection shutter on the plug connector and a manual shutter on the bulkhead receptacle. The HE-2000™ connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and small-core single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing in-service repairs and installations

The special feature of the new DiaFlex fan-out connection is that the fiber whips can be removed and replaced via a connector system in the divider. This provides greater flexibility in the installation of fiber-optic networks. Cable ends can be replaced flexibly, quickly and without spending a great deal of time or money, and cable installations can be extended as is necessary. Thanks to the feed-in cap, which has a small design, preassembled cables can be inserted directly into pipes or cable ducts. There is therefore no need for expensive splices. The cable and the fiber whips are manufactured in the fiber design and quantity that you requested, inspected and delivered with the corresponding test reports. This connector is extremely well suited for harsh environments and other demanding applications. The MIL-83526 DM (Diamond Multipurpose) connector incorporates four (4) termini utilizing Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. This connector is also available with electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. The MIL-83526 DM connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and smallcore single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Furthermore, Diamond‘s splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing for in-service repairs and custom installation.

Based on the known Diamond ZEUS D50 Fusion splicer, which provides fast, easy, and high performance field terminations of Splice-On Connectors (SOC), we have developed a new Kit with the aim of simplifying the field repair or termination of outdoor connectors. The Kit contains everything that is needed to prepare, handle and splice tough outdoor/military and industrial cables with an outer diameter of 3 mm to 8 mm, including a cleaver and an automated stripping machine with heated jaws. Once the cable is fixed on a sliding holder, all three operations can be carried out without additional cable manipulation.

The DIAMOND Network Acceptance (DNA) Kit is an FBG-based (Fiber Bragg Grating), easy-to-use testing system for fiber-optic P2P networks. The system provides the capability of a clear Optical Line Identification (OLiD), thanks to the integration of FBGs within connectivity components. This allows the line integrity and link correctness to be checked from a single access point. OLiD is a technically valuable and efficient alternative to the time-and resource-consuming red-light examination method. The system does not interfere with the standard telecom P2P operating bandwidth, therefore it can also be used on lines that are already active.
