In-line fault testing on single wires and cables during the extrusion or rewinding process has become standard procedure today. ZUMBACH Spark Testers can be used to test the most diverse range of cable products as per international standards, like IEC 62230, UL 1581, UL 2556 and other. Integrated ports allow communication for easy integration with quality control systems (e.g. USYS). According to various applications, ZUMBACH offers Mains Frequency, Direct Current and High-Frequency spark testers. Typically they are installed at the end of the cooling trough in extrusion lines or in rewinding pro- cesses and detect the smallest defects and bare patches in the insulation or sheathing of electrical wires and cables. Continuous surface inspection for all kind of products ZUMBACH's all-new SIMAC 40/70 is fulfilling today’s needs for in-line surface inspection of extruded products like pipes, cables and hoses with the consistent implementation of machine vision and machine learning. The MSD models are universally suited and can be used in all cable production lines to measure wires and cables of all types. In tube and hose extrusion lines, they are indispensable aids for measuring pressure pipelines, waste water and heating tubes, and other types of rubber hoses. MSD devices can also contribute to quality monitoring in cold applications in the steel and metal industry. Additionally, the measuring device can be used for non-ferrous and offshore productions.
