Elastomeric bearings we have defined so far are the basic types, which constant feature is the fact that they allow all-ways movements and rotation. However, movements can be limited in one or all ways, thus obtaining guided or fixed bearings, respectively. In the first case -guided bearings- the restriction is obtained by means of guides parallel to the supporting axe that allows movement. To make friction as low as possible, PTFE and stainless steel sheets are welded to the guides.

Compact Rail is a linear system consisting of steel linear rails with induction hardened raceways and high precision radial ball bearing sliders, also made of hardened steel. Thanks to their self-aligning capabilities, Compact Rail linear guides simplify the project, improve the performance and reduce the overall cost of application. Compact Rail linear guides are easy to install on all types of surfaces, including non-machined ones. Compact Rail linear guides feature a robust steel slider with ball bearings, self-centering heads with wipers, longitudinal seals to protect the internal components and a top sealing strip. The slider body is accurately finished with matte longitudinal edge chamfer and a shining ground flat surface. The slider heads are equipped with special slow release felt pads and are free to rotate with respect to the slider body, so that the felts are always in contact with the raceways to ensure optimal lubrication.

The primary function of a lubricant is to lubricate the rolling and sliding contacts of a bearing to enhance its performance through the prevention of wear. This can be accomplished through various lubrication mechanisms such as hydrodynamic lubrication, electrohydrodynamic lubrication, and boundary lubrication.

The RA line descripes a roller beared slide in a special sealed version. The standard type is equipped with a gap seal (approx. 0.5 mm). Special types with felt or nylon scrapers are possible, too. The roller bearing slides run in preloaded, hardened and ground Vee-guides. This ensures a smooth, zero-play and extremely precise longitudinal movement - even under high load. The RH line is equipped with a hand wheel and a scale ring with a 0.02 mm scale gradation. Sizes 075 up to 200 can, on option, also be furnished with a 0.01 mm scale gradation. The RK line is equipped with a cross type handle and, from size 300 on, with a hand wheel. The RM line The RM line is equipped with a knurled micrometer knob of a 0.02 mm scale gradation. Sizes 075 up to 200 can, on option, be delivered with a 0.01 mm scale gradation, too. The RS line is equipped with a threaded spindle. From size 75 mm on, all dovetail slides (type SS) are equipped with a digital position readout. Different installation options allow to read the display from different viewing directions. The housing consists of shockproof plastic. The digital display allows to make fast adjustments over the complete measuring path.
