Most industrial process temperature control units work through the pressure exerted on the water of the process utilities: this is convenient in most “standard” cases, given the higher efficiency developed by the system. However, some critical process issues can make this type of operation difficult: this is the case of machines that leak fluids, or with leakage, and that it is not convenient to maintain on the spot. In such cases, it is therefore useful to work with a vacuum temperature control unit, which sucks in utility water. FTT PD water thermoregulators are flexible and effective systems, which can work under either pressure or vacuum depending on the peculiarities of the system. Any fluid losses are therefore minimized during operations. A simplicity of operation is also ensured by the touch-screen panel, also found on other Frigofluid temperature controllers. Models with an increased pump are also available for users characterized by high pressure drops.

Temperature control of gaseous and liquid media Flat tube heat exchangers are generally used as air / air or air / liquid heat exchangers. Flat tube heat exchangers are used where the (exhaust) air is polluted and the installation space is limited. In heat recovery in particular, there are numerous applications for flat tube heat exchangers as so-called exhaust gas / exhaust air heat exchangers. Little installation space and less pressure loss While the rows of tubes in smooth tube heat exchangers consist of round tubes, the rows of tubes in flat tube heat exchangers have a special profile (see illustration). This special tube profile offers advantages over the round profile in certain applications. Flat tube heat exchangers require less installation space than smooth tube heat exchangers with the same exchange area and are therefore also lighter.

Temperature control of liquids Tube coil heat exchangers (so-called tube cooling coil heat exchangers) are generally used to control the temperature of liquids. This system can also be used to heat or cool liquids in a controlled manner. Due to their special shape, pipe coil heat exchangers are sometimes also called hairpin heat exchangers. Inexpensive applications The simple and solid structure enables it to be used in cost-effective applications. Coiled tube evaporator systems are ideally suited for brine and glycol applications. Classic variant Coiled tube evaporator systems are a classic and proven variant in the field of heat exchanger systems. Coiled tube heat exchangers are often used in ice storage systems or in the production of cold water units. In ice storage systems, coils can be used to achieve an even build-up of ice around the coils.

FT water temperature controllers make it possible not only to cut down on the use of electrical power for heating (in fact, the heating elements remain off during steady-state operation), but they also make it possible to limit the cooling power spent on cooling by self-stabilizing through a process called Autotuning. This system also saves resources (water and energy) compared to units without them. They are designed to condition molds and cylinders for various industrial processes, including plastics and rubber molding and extrusion, and in the paper industry.

Often the main critical issue for molding industries is not achieving the temperatures needed for their processes, but maintaining them over time. Hence the usefulness of temperature control units that not only send the fluids needed to do the job up to temperature, but are capable of subsequent self-tuning. This is the way FTT DC water temperature controllers operate, which wrap direct cooling to stabilize fluid grades after the desired temperature has been reached. This requires integration with a source of cooled water: a simple well or a chiller or cooling system (chiller or dry cooler). with adjustable humidity and temperature to simulate the environmental conditions of a test specimen (e.g. household appliances, heating technology) The basis is a standard or climatic chamber (e.g. test kitchen, environmental simulation) with adjustable air humidity and temperature. On the basis of decades of experience in automotive test engineering, EP-E developed a concept in which the air flows in a circle (loop design). The result is a very excellent homogeneous temperature and humidity distribution. Through precise temperature and humidity control, it is possible to set different combinations of air conditioning and thus precisely adjust the required test conditions. The determination of the air flow (exhaust air volume) is carried out via a measuring section with the use of Laminar Flow Elements (LFEs). In order to determine the volume flow, pressure and temperature sensors are used to determine the air volume flow of the climatic chamber(s).

This type of transportation implies constant maintenance of a certain temperature mode throughout the route of the road train. In refrigerator semi-trailer, the temperature mode is maintained in the range from – 25 °C to + 25 °C, regardless of weather and temperature conditions outside.
