Productinformation A raisin isn’t always a raisin: Biologist differtiate between sultanas and currants. Dried grapes are the most traditional import article among all dried fruits. Their fructose percentage is nearly sixty percent – as anybody with a sweet tooth and affection for healthy snacks should already know. Grapes get harvested when they are fully ripe and are immediately dried in the sun afterwards, until their degree of moisture meet twenty percent. This process and the diversity of the grapes lead to different results, raging from a honey yellow colour to dark brown – but all of them end up pleasantly delicious. Or should we say superbly saccharine? Origin The main distributor for sultanas are the United States, respectively California: Their local production covers approximately one-third of the worldwide market.
