The GM 3100 offers even higher accuracy of results even with changing tasks, since it can be set for different measuring tasks and environments. The device monitors the intake volume flow and can adapt to the changed measuring environment, preset, monitor and the volume flow. In addition to reliable measurement results, optimal stability and constant response times are also achieved. Thanks to the menu navigation in connection with the automatic measuring range selection, the measuring system GM 3100 is easy and safe to use even by an inexperienced user. For commissioning, all you have to do is select a task in the main menu, for example gas detection, and the measuring device then automatically sets the sensor, measuring range, pump output and alarm message according to a defined program.

scanCONTROL 3D scanners are used for precise inline 3D measurements in numerous applications. Scans are performed by moving the scanner or the target. Due to their low weight, the scanners are ideally suited both for robotic applications and inline production monitoring. These 3D laser scanners are characterized by high dynamics, absolute precision and their compact size. The thermoIMAGER TIM QVGA and TIM VGA cameras are used for stationary thermography tasks where high resolution is required. Due to their high thermal sensitivity, these cameras also detect even the smallest of temperature differences. Both standard lenses and special microscope lenses are available for the TIM QVGA and TIM VGA cameras. The microscope lens enables detailed macro shooting of the smallest of elements. High-resolution macro shooting is possible with a spatial resolution of 28 µm. The distance between the target and the camera varies between 80 mm and 100 mm.

The sensor elements of the EDS series are protected by a pressure resistant stainless steel housing. As target, an aluminum sleeve is used which is integrated into the piston rod and is passed without making contact and wear-free over the sensor rod.

This sensor for measuring exhaust gases was developed together with a Formula 1 team. The goal was to achieve the greatest possible reliability during the race. The sensor was designed so that it can withstand a maximum of vibrations and extreme temperatures while being made in a highly compact construction at the same time. The special feature is the connection lead. It is not made from the usual mineral-insulated stainless steel sheathed line, which is too rigid and which tends to vibration fractures. Instead, the line is made of stranded conductors with PTFE insulation and an additional heat shield so it can be easily and flexibly adapted to the environment. The sensor is being used with exceeding success by professional teams in long distance races, American race series and the domestic DTM. This plug-in sheathing thermocouple is recommended for measuring the temperature in the exhaust gas flow. It is genuinely multipurpose, mounting with the cap nut means the thermocouple does not need to be rotated, which simplifies installation and fast replacement. The braking fluid thermocouple from Therma convinces not only with its compact construction but also with its simple installation. Just screw it in in-place of the air vent screw to measure the temperature of the brake fluid. The subsequent sheathing line can then be comfortably bent in the required direction. When the thermocouple is screwed in, the braking system is then vented through its thread. The temperature measurement of the brake fluid, along with the brake disc surface measurement, also supplies important control values for a successful and safe race. During long races or races with many downhill routes, the brake disc overheats over-proportionally. The accruing radiation heat during this has a direct effect on the brake fluid, respectively heats it up. Depending on the type of brake fluid being used, it already reaches its boiling point at approx. 140–260 °C.

With the Therma friction thermocouple you can determine the surface temperature of the brakes while driving. Attaching the mounting adapter puts uniform pressure on the brake disc through the spring-loaded sensor by using a bayonet cap. That perfectly compensates movements caused by centrifugal force and vibrations as well as the volume decrease caused by disc wear while ensuring a valid measurement. The brake disc friction sensor measures the surface temperature of the brake disc. It imparts important insights about the temperature development. That enables an indication about the brake line, intake and temperature radiation. A brake disc that becomes too hot during a race massively loses its effectiveness and deceleration to the accustomed and optimal degree is no longer possible. If the temperature is too high, the brake pads start gassing on top of that.

The infrared temperature sensor from Therma is perfect for measuring the current tyre temperature. The temperature of the tyre and thus the associated effects are decisive factors for success in motor sports. The tyre pressure is strongly temperature-dependent. The measurements collected by the sensor permit conclusions to be drawn for ideal vehicle tuning. Large fluctuations have a direct effect on the vehicle performance and the service life of the tyre.

The thicknessGAUGE O.EC is a compact inline measuring system in a stable O-frame design with an aluminum roller and an integrated control cabinet. The system is used for precise thickness measurements of plastic strips and coatings up to 3 mm material thickness and web widths up to max. 1250 mm. To obtain a cross profile of the material thickness, the sensor is traversed over the film. Keeping the sensor fixed at a particular position enables a thickness profile to be generated. Integration takes place in complete production lines, e.g., in plastics production and battery film production. The systems can be integrated into new plants or retrofitted directly into existing plants.

The thicknessGAUGE C.C sensor systems use confocal chromatic displacement sensors for the thickness measurement. The sensors allow for measurements to be performed with outstanding accuracy and high measuring rates. In addition, this innovative measuring technique enables measurements of reflective and shiny surfaces.

thicknessGAUGE C.LL sensor systems use laser triangulation sensors for the thickness measurement. These laser sensors enable high measuring rates at high speeds. The thicknessGAUGE.laser series impresses with a favorable price/performance ratio and is preferably used for thickness measurements of common surfaces such as plastics, wood and metals.

thicknessGAUGE sensor systems are used for precise thickness measurements of strip materials, plates and sheets up to 50 mm. Several models with different sensor types, measuring ranges and measuring widths enable inline thickness measurements of different materials and surfaces based on an unmatched price/performance ratio. This fully assembled system comprises a stable frame on which two optical distance sensors are fixed, which detect the thickness of the measuring object according to the difference principle. The sensors are perfectly aligned to each other in terms of their mounting condition. Furthermore, thickness calibration at the factory enables high precision thickness measurements.

In addition to pure color measurements, intensity measurements, completeness and presence checks or the evaluation of surface properties are also possible with the color sensors from Micro-Epsilon. These powerful colorSENSOR CFO sensors enable 100% control in demanding, industrial measurement tasks and provide precise measurement results.

colorSENSOR OT sensors are fixed lens sensors with True Color detection. The sensor is equipped with a special illumination and optical system in order to perfom relative color measurements reliably even from a large distance. Apart from the optics, the models hardly differ from each other. The illumination can be disabled by software. OT sensors are also suitable for the color detection of self-luminous sources.

The colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller for precise color detection in industrial measurement tasks. The CFO series is characterized by high color accuracy, modern interfaces and intuitive operation. CFS sensors with integrated fiber optics are connected to the controller, which can be adapted for different measurement tasks. The colorSENSOR CFO is used for color detection on interior parts such as headrests, packaging inspection or sorting by color of crown caps, closures or labels. The colorSENSOR replaces the models of the LT series.

The operation of the colorSENSOR CFO controller requires sensors which are used at the measuring point. Depending on the measurement task, the sensors can be individually combined. Moreover, these high-quality sensors with glass fiber optics are characterized by small installation dimensions and robust materials. This makes them particularly suitable for mechanical stress and harsh ambient conditions such as high temperatures. Since the sensor head requires only little space, the sensor can also be used in confined conditions.

The colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller for precise color recognition in industrial measurement tasks. The CFO series is distinguished by high color accuracy, state-of-the-art interfaces and intuitive operation. The controller is connected to CFS sensors with integrated optical fibers, which can be adapted for different measurement tasks. The colorSENSOR CFO is used in color recognition tasks on interior parts such as head supports, in packaging control or in color sorting tasks with crown caps, closures or labels.
