Cobalt(II) chloride in vapor-phase co-reductions with other metal halides by hydrogen results in finely divided intermetallics with applications as structural materials or compounds with useful thermoelectric, magnetic, and oxidation-resistance properties.

Iron(II) chloride is used in the synthesis of iron complexes like iron(II) hydroxide. It acts as a precursor to hydrated iron(III) oxides that are magnetic pigments. It serves as a reducing agent in organic synthesis. Also, used as a reducing flocculating agent in wastewater treatment, especially for wastes containing chromate. It is used as an intermediate, in pigments, processing aids and in solids separation agents.

May be used for the preparation of phosphate buffered saline, and for the extraction and solubilization of proteins.

Zinc(II) chloride is used as a catalyst, as a dehydrating and condensing agent, soldering flux and metal etchant. It is also employed in preserving anatomical specimens, wood preservatives, deodorant, disinfecting and embalming materials. It is employed as a mordant in printing and dyeing materials, and in the vulcanizing processes of fiber and rubber. It is useful as an electrolyte in dry cell batteries, in metal industry, in galvanizing iron and as an electrolyte for electroplating. It is useful in an organic synthesis, for example in the Friedel-crafts acylation, Fisher indole synthesis, Lucas reagent (zinc chloride with HCl), activation of allylic/benzylic halides towards reaction with olefins or with sodium cyanoborohydride catalyzed reduction of halides, organozinc reagents for use in Negishi coupling, and aldol condensation reactions.

Praseodymium(III) chloride is used in producing metal praseodymium and praseodymium compounds,glass,ceramic and coloring.

Semi-conductive nylon tapes consist of non-woven polyester saturated with semi-conductive compound. Nylon tapes are used to bind and separate cable cores. They also can be used as bedding and barrier shielding under steel sheet.

Al foil/PET films consist of aluminium foil and PET film joined by a special adhesive layer. Al foil/PET films are used for shielding and additional transverse waterproofing of cables.

Foamed PP tapes are used to separate segments in multicore cables and to tighten the core.

Hot dipped and electro galvanized steel wire is used to armour cables and wires, it is made from low carbon rods.

The given tapes are used as a water blocking barrier between the components of power cables where bedding is required. They can be applied under the extruded lead sheath or welded aluminium sheath.

PET films are used for electroinsulation of cables and wires, winding of electric machines and electric devices, for slot insulation in stators of electric motors with a broad range of power levels, and in wireless devices.

Mica tapes are used as dielectric barrier between the cores of cables in case of fire or cables exposure to high temperatures.
