The IST AG 200 °C Pt Temperature Sensor Series offers an excellent long-term stability and fast response time with low self-heating within a temperature range of -200 °C to +200 °C.​ The sensors are offered in various standard lengths with Cu/Ag- single or stranded wire with PTFE -insulation. The directly welded wires offer an outstanding robustness and are optimal for connector assemblies or for soldering, welding and crimping. Additionally, the 200 °C Pt temperature sensors are also available with Ag-wire (Ø 0.25 mm) and metallized backside. The IST AG PW RTD sensor has been developed as an alternative to the traditional wire-wound sensors. The PW sensor combines the advantages of high accuracy and precision of the wire-wound sensors with the advantages of thin-film sensors that offer robustness, small dimensions and very low hysteresis at an optimal price level. Compared to a standard thin-film sensor measuring up to +300 °C in IEC 60751 F0.15 (IST AG reference class A), the IST AG PW sensor measures with high accuracy up to IEC 60751 F0.15 (IST AG reference class A) within a wide operating temperature range from -200 °C to +600 °C. Due to the special construction and stable characteristics curve, the IST AG PW sensor is also suitable for low temperature applications. As an additional feature, the PW sensor is available in round ceramic housing with the same dimensions as a traditional wire wound sensor, meaning easy interchangeability into existing temperature applications.

Their measuring strokes range from 25 to 150 mm, and their standard resistive value is 5 KOhm. The conductive plastic resistive element grants the transducer a long life (100,000,000 motions), high independent linearity and virtually infinite resolution. The IP65 protection degree against environmental agents allow to employ the potentiometers series PR2S for severe applications, even outdoors, at extreme temperatures. The absolute encoders series MEM-Bus avail on an interface to connect to field bus systems according to the CANopen standard. The encoders comply with standards CIA DS301, DS406, DS 305, featuring the functions of Class 2. They are supplied in multiturn version with 29 bit resolution (8192 steps/revolution x 65536 revolutions). The encoder operating parameters are set directly by the user: revolutions no., steps per rev., rotation direction and preset no. The diagnostic function signals possible parameter, position or temperature errors as well as the battery alarm – the data memory is anyway ensured for a long period (30 years). The baud rate and node selection can be easily set by LSS protocol or by means of dip-switches. MEM40-Bus encoders avail on 3 signalling LEDs for supply state, line and error. The encoder comes with metal housing, round flange, solid or hollow shaft. The electrical connection is by M12 connector. The encoders are UL listed for Canada and USA markets.
