Using aluminum plates, offset printing transfers ink to paper, guaranteeing vivid colors, fine details and a professional finish for all your printed materials. The offset printing process occurs when ink adheres to the printed information area of ​​the aluminum plate which has hydrophobic (does not combine with water) and oleophilic (retains oil and varnish of the printing ink) properties. The non-printed side of the offset printing plate, which must remain clean without printing, has oleophobic properties (repels oil and varnish from printing ink). The printing waves of offset machines are smeared with printing ink at the top and with water and isopropyl alcohol at the bottom. Thus the part of the plate that should receive printing ink will receive it from the ink waves and the part of the printing plate that should not hold ink will be washed by water waves with isopropyl alcohol.
