The repair and manufacture of propshafts for plant vehicles is part of our capabilities at Firow. We stock all the components to both manufacture and repair propshafts for a number of makes and models of plant vehicle. The makes we cover include: Volvo (CE) Caterpillar JCB Liebherr Terex Komatsu Hitachi Case (CNH) All we require is the part number for the propshaft or the drawing, and then we can progress with the work. As with all our propshaft manufacturing and repair work, we will make an honest and realistic assessment of the feasibility of the work. Before we start, we will always discuss the price of the work to be done, as well as the specifics of the work we will undertake.

The FRP is Geppert Ruhrtechnik’s fast running pneumatic air mixer that can be directly mounted on 200 l steel drums with a 2“ bung hole. The FRP is mounted onto the drum with a 2” threaded adapter. The agitator is screwed into the bung hole. We do offer one drive especially adapted for low viscous media and one drive especially adapted for medium viscous media of up to 1,000 mPas. The agitator shaft is connected to a bearing shaft within the drum mixer housing by means of a sleeve coupling. This bearing shaft is connected to the drive shaft. Folding propellers are used as agitator elements, which can be inserted into the drum through the 2” bung hole when being folded. As a mobile mixer, the FRP can be delivered as a turn-key machine with a service kit for the lubrication of the compressed air and a noise muffler.

Additionally we can provide you with a vessel clamp applicable for open lid drums.

We produce seal joints and bearings for propeller shaft in pure copper, aluminium bronze, tin and lead bronze as well as brass. Pieces are delivered as-cast, rough or fully machined.

Alloy 400 (UNS N04400) is a solid-solution Nickel/Copper alloy that can be hardened only by cold working. It has reasonable strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Alloy 400 is widely used in many fields, especially marine and chemical processing. Typical applications are valves and pumps; pump and propeller shafts; marine fixtures and fasteners; electrical and electronic components; springs; chemical processing equipment; gasoline and fresh water tanks; crude petroleum stills, process vessels and piping; boiler feedwater heaters and other heat exchangers; and deaerating heaters.
