Multifunctional filters are used for fine filtration of low-viscosity oils with low levels of contamination. The filter systems can be operated as either precoat filters or edge filters, and conversion between the two modes is easily achievable. This versatile design allows the filter systems to be well-adapted to various filtration tasks. The achievable filtration fineness ranges from 1 to 5 µm. When operating as an edge filter, the filter regeneration process is fully automatic, while the precoat filter version requires manual cleaning. Multifunctional filter systems can be operated as either edge filters or precoat filters: ultifunctional Filter MFF300-AF2.5 to MFF800-SF120 Multifunctional filters are used for fine filtration of low-viscosity oils with low levels of contamination. Plate Precoat Filter are used for the fine filtration of low-viscosity oils. This cost-effective filter is a compact device designed to supply individual machines. The achievable filtration fineness is between 1 and 5 µm in NAS 3-7. The filter regeneration and cleaning of the filter discs are done manually. Before filtration can begin, the filter discs (1) need to be swollen with a filter aid (diatomaceous earth, cellulose, perlite). Filtration: After the precoat, the operator manually switches to filtration and directs the filtrate into the clean tank (2). The system pump can now be switched on to supply the processing machine. The achievable filtration fineness is 1 – 5 µm, depending on the filter aid used.

For all precoat knife discharge rotary drum vacuum filters it is important that the knife advance system operates accurately and steadily so that the optimum usage of precoat material on the precoat filter can be attained. This latest design of knife discharge system has been developed by Filtration Services following many years of practical experience with earlier mechanical, hydraulic and electro-mechanical assemblies. All Filtration Services precoat filters benefit from this unique AKAS system, we can also adapt it to suit most existing precoat filter assemblies (e.g. Stockdale, Paxman, Dorr-Oliver, Eimco etc) and install it on site.

The Rotavac One is our complete compact pilot filter station. Easy to install and operate it is ideal for small volume applications, process validation and pilot-scale trials. The unit has a small 2m x 1m footprint, comprising of 1.3m² skid mounted rotary vacuum drum filter (RDVF), filtrate receiver, filtrate pump, vacuum pump, blower (scraper discharge version only), local control panel. Two versions are available: Rotavac One S, scraper discharge and Rotavac One P, precoat discharge. These filters are ideal for larger test programmes under actual manufacturing conditions.
