In many areas of mechanical engineering, electromechanical drives are replacing hydraulic units in order to avoid the risk of oil leaking into water or the danger to people from burning liquids. Our electric lifting cylinders have been specially developed for use in hydraulic steel construction. They are suitable as drives for contactors and bridge actuation, as well as for lock gates and barrages. With our modular system, various designs such as trapezoidal, ball or planetary roller screw drive can be realized. Limit switches for permanent travel or load measurement can be integrated. The drive systems are equipped with environmentally friendly, biodegradable fat filled to meet the strict environmental requirements. They are characterized by a special design adapted to the intended use, a high level of serviceability and versatility. Our electric lifting cylinders form a reliable and sustainable alternative to hydraulic lifting cylinders in various fields of application.

Magnetic field sensors are used in particular for contactless detection of the piston position in pneumatic cylinders. Using a patented operating principle, our magnetic field sensors detect permanent magnets of different strength attached to the piston in all common cylinders error-free. The sensors operate wear-free, are short-circuit proof, rugged and IP67 rated. We also offer solutions for use in welding or hazardous areas as well as for analog queries.

Path measurement can be solved with various sensors. The inductive linear position sensors operate contactless and wear-free according to a revolutionary measuring principle. The position is not detected via a positioning magnet but via an oscillating RLC circuit. The product portfolio comprises magnetostrictive linear position sensors for position tracking in hydraulic cylinders or encoders for the tracking of floats as well as draw-wire sensors. Over a length of up to 40 meters, path information is transmitted in a highly precise and dynamic manner to the higher-level controller via digital and analog interfaces.

Cylinder series with dimensions based on ISO 15552 with an integrated position measuring system based on magnetostriction. The position sensor allows a high degree of accuracy in measuring the cylinder position. Analogue output signal 0-10 V via M 12 connector.

The SGH10 wire-actuated encoder measures the absolute direct cylinder stroke in a hydraulic cylinder. The new measuring system eliminates costly boring of the piston. As a result, integration costs are reduced compared to other measuring systems and a possible weakening of the piston is avoided effectively. Thanks to its unique lateral installation, the SGH10L can also be used in almost unsolvable applications, regardless of whether for applications in which no stoke lost can be accepted, extremely small piston diameters or in the case of cylinders with mechanical end position cushioning. The MBS hydraulic cylinder MZR-1008 is designed as a discharge cylinder of direct support systems on mobile devices, such as Cranes have been constructed. The integrated position measuring system enables the exact position of the support cylinder to be detected. This is hydraulically fixed in connection with the piped double check valve. The cylinder connection is via plain bearing bushes. There are connecting bores for pipe fittings according to BSPP ISO1179-2 in the valve block. Hub and piston rod overhang are variably selectable. With the exception of the piston rod, all surfaces are protected against corrosion with a black primer. On request alternative surface treatments are possible. The surface of the piston rod is hard chromed, ground and polished. The cylinders are suitable for hydraulic fluids of types H, HL and HLP according to DIN 51524/51525. The high resolution allows linear measurements to be accurately sized even in large measurement ranges. Conversion of rotatory and translational motion by spindles, wires or others is not necessary for direct displacement measurement. Special processes are applied to give the resistance tracks low friction, low tendency to stick/slip, resistance to abrasion and long-term stability. The vibration-cushioned slider allows a clear signal output even by slight shocks or high operating speeds up to 10 m/s.

The fastening nut has claws allowing it to be used as an earthing nut. Water and dust proof as per IP65 through the O-ring and flat seal. The lockable quarter-turn locks are supplied with 2 keys. The key can be removed in both positions (open and closed). The cylinder locks have a single-key system, i.e. the same key works in all locks (lock type 101 or 1333). Magtrol’s line of Displacement Transducers provide contactless measurement of absolute piston position in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and other applications. Their robust construction, large insensitivity to shocks and very long life (due to no moving parts and therefore no wear of components) make them both cost effective and very reliable. Magtrol transducers offer a wide range of operational temperatures and admissible pressure resistance for even the most demanding applications. The transducer provides a direct 4 - 20 mA output signal corresponding to the measuring range, as well as VDC temperature output. As an option Magtrol offers the CST 113 Signal Converter, which allows the complete chain to be calibrated according to the specific needs, either in current or voltage output. The DI Series of displacement transducers were developed principally for OEM applications in the hydraulic industry.

Positively and negatively engraved steel cylinders create a conjoining cylinder set which allows the material web to be shaped or formed. The method is used in situations where the use of a paper counter-cylinder is not useful or even impossible. We offer our conjoining cylinder sets in soft, nitrated or deep-hardened designs.
