Highly flexible installation layout capabilities for maximized floor space. Pneumatic Scrap Conveyors are air transfer systems for moving wet or dry chips to a central chip processing system or load-out container. No plant air is required. PRAB Pneumatic scrap conveyors offer operation and installation flexibility. This specific scrap material conveyor model is designed to pick up directly from CNC machining centers and transfer wet or dry material to a central chip processing system or load out container. The overhead piping of the pneumatic scrap conveyor allows for installation flexibility, whether you need to locate your scrap metal equipment near the ceiling or in tight spaces. The pneumatic design allows for easy reconfiguration when modifying plant space.

During metal scrap processing, conveyance systems using augers or steel belts frequently fail to consistently move bushy bundles of metal scrap because the augers and steel belts are unable to grab hold of the stringy wads. This limitation causes the bundles to bounce around the in-feed hopper until an operator manually breaks them up, or forces the bundle up the conveyor. This practice is both inefficient and unsafe. The PRAB Bundle Breaker installs in a conveyor’s in-feed hopper, where dual rotating cylinders agitate the material, tearing stringy wads of chips, turnings, and bundles apart to allow for effective processing in downstream equipment. The PRAB Bundle Breaker may be added to an existing conveyor or incorporated into a new PRAB metal scrap processing system.

Our original control systems for technological processes are based on PLC controllers. In the installations designed and manufactured by us, we mainly use subassemblies from market-leading brands such as SIEMENS, Allen-Bradley or EATON. We can implement any controller offered by the manufacturers mentioned above to our systems. Our goal is to constantly develop, expand our knowledge and improve our workshop. In our projects, we strive to communicate the largest possible number of equipment used with one compatible communication protocol, thus avoiding additional electrical connections and gaining an easy possibility to diagnose problems caused in case of a potential failure. In our applications, we use SCADA and HMI systems. Each of them features a huge range of possibilities and allows to adapt particular requirements to specific solutions individually designed for a given client.

Base Group is the first manufacturing company in Poland to have successfully launched an electronic system for welding process management. Our system oversees welding of steel structures for power industry, offshore construction welding, structures for customers from the railway industry and welding of structures for the chemical industry. This is actually our next step into Industry 4.0. The electronic system for welding process management is a solution to be used from the first stage of planning the welding work, through coordination of welding the structures, up to the final stage of project reporting.
