Pine nuts (piniols) are edible seeds of several types of pine. Like other nuts, pine nuts have numerous nutritional values. Peanuts are obtained from cones of selected pine varieties. Under the influence of heat, they open, releasing hard seeds in a stiff scales. After removing the scales, sweet and sour nuts are obtained, with a delicate taste and a characteristic forest aroma. What distinguishes them from other nuts is a large content of zinc. They are a rich source of vitamin K, which is responsible for the proper blood coagulation process, and also reduces excessive menstrual bleeding, bone hydhema, which protects against osteoporosis. They also contain vitamins A, C, E and group B, a lot of phosphorus and potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and sodium. Pins are oily seeds, which is why aromatic pine oil is made of them. Pine oats are the most aromatic previously ironed in a dry frying pan.
