Barley groats is a type of groats made from ordinary barley grains. It is one of the most popular groats in Poland. Depending on the method of processing, pearl barley (Masuria barley) - it is broken barley, polished, i.e. barley broken into large particles and polished. All barley varieties contain a large amount of fiber. Barley groats are a rich source of B vitamins, in particular vitamins B1, B2 and B6, as well as vitamins E, K, PP, folic acid and silicon, zinc, calcium, manganese and copper. Masurian barley groats are the most popular. The traditional dish for which it is used is barley soup. It also fits perfectly with all kinds of sauces and meat stews.
