Procalcitonin (PCT) Rapid Test – Product code: SC-0999-25 The Rapid Qualitative PCT Test (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Procalcitonin in whole blood, serum or plasma. The Rapid Qualitative PCT Test (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a qualitative lateral scrolling immunoassay for the detection of PCT in whole blood, serum or plasma. The membrane is pre-coated with anti-PCT antibodies on the test line area. During the test, the serum or plasma sample reacts with the particle coated with anti-PCT antibody. The compound migrates upwards on the membrane chromatographically by capillary action to react with the anti-PCT antibodies on the membrane and generates a colored line. As a procedural control, a colored line will always appear in the control region (C) to indicate that the correct volume of sample has been used and that the membrane has been soaked.
