Knight Optical can offer UV Fused Silica Lenses for Flame Detection Applications. UV Fused Silica can be used in Flame Detection Applications, due to its high transmission into the NIR range (approximately <92% avg 400-2000nm) meaning that a clear distinction can be made between different wavelengths of light. UV FS also has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion 0.55x10-6K-1 at 300K) compared to N-BK7 (7.1x10-6K-1), meaning that it can still provide optical performance under high temperature. UV FS also has a high melting point compared to N-BK7, providing further protection for your application in high temperature environments. UV FS is comparable to N-BK7 or other similar optical glasses in its performance, having a very similar average transmission over the VIS range up to approximately 2000nm and a slightly lower refractive index. The Abbe constants of UV FS are also very similar to that of N-BK7, although slightly higher. Read PDF for more info

Knight Optical can offer UV Fused Silica Lenses for Solid State Laser applications. UV FS is a prime choice for lenses in use with Solid State Lasers due to its consistently high transmission in the UV/VIS/NIR regions. This means that it can be used with a range of different laser types, such as Titanium-doped sapphire (tuneable to 660-1080nm) or Alexandrite (tuneable to 700-820nm) with very little change in performance. Read PDF for full specification

The best known microstructured optic is the Fresnel lens. Compared to a standard lens the surface of the fresnel lens is divided into a number of concentric grooves allowing for a wide range of optical effects (e.g. high-aperture (fast) large-area) while also reducing thickness, weight and cost. Fresnel lenses can be designed as a collimator, collector or with finite conjugates. They are usually corrected for spherical aberration. We offer a variety of standard designs as well as custom designs for our customers. Our lenses can be finished with a range of optical coatings and nanostructures and will be trimmed precisely to our customers requirements.

The Z+F PROFILER® 9020 and 9020-2 is a highly efficient 2D laser scanner for mobile mapping applications. The rotation speed of the Z+F PROFILER® 9020 is 267 Hz or 16,020 rpm max.. It measures up to 182 m and has a very high data quality. For data capturing in close range, it is equipped with special optics. Compared to previous models, it has an internal reference plate, a very low power consumption, very fast startup time and over 50% reduced weight and size. A new, very powerful laser technology and further developed algorithms ensures highly accurate measurement results on rails, roads, street signs and other traffic control systems such as traffic lights. Technical highlights: 267 profiles/sec. P9020: 1.094 million points/sec. P9020-2: 2.188 million points/sec. 0.2 mm accuracy 182 m range 360° field of view The Z+F PROFILER® 9020 and 9020-2 can be flexibly integrated into different MMS
