Repico® is our latest addition to the extensive product range of pipe couplings and repair clamps. AVK’s Repico® product program consists of stainless steel pipe couplings and repair couplings for pipe diameters from DN 15 up to DN 2000. The Repico® range offers a quick and simple connection solution for all pipes with possibility of angular deflection and easy handling due to the compact and light weight design. The Repico® products can be used within the markets: industry, shipbuilding, gas, sewage, water and firefighting. Pipe coupling or repair coupling? The main difference of a Repico® repair clamp compared to a Repico® coupling is that the rubber seal is not one piece and it has no grip rings. The split seal allows the clamp to be put around the pipe but has the same progressive sealing. The coupling side of the Repico range consists of restraint (tensile) and non-restraint (non-tensile) couplings. Restraint, where the pipe is fixed within the coupling. The economic version is our GLP, for medium pressures in an economic configuration we have the GMP, the standard version is the G type and for higher pressures with bigger sizes we offer the GF. These are all for metal pipes. Available in Q3 is the GP, the restraint version for plastic pipes. Non restraint, where the pipe needs to be restrained in the pipe supports or otherwise. The S type has 1 lock (set of bolts) and is the standard version, for bigger sizes we offer the SD which has 2 locks, the ST with 3 locks and the SQ with 4 locks. Besides the standard length versions we also offer a longer version of the coupling: SL, SDL, SQL & STL. The Repico® SD – Slip type coupling two locks is designed to replace traditional pipe joining methods(welded, flanged, threaded etc.). Sealing against 10.7 bar (165psi) maximum and it has a progressive sealing. Max. angular deflection 5°. Completely made out of stainless steel 316. Green PTFE coated bolts. No special tools or skilled people are required to install the Repico® pipe couplings. Light weight appr. 30% in comparison with flanged connections. Quick to install (minutes). It requires limited space for installation, just a bit bigger than the pipe OD. Connects different materials. No transition couplings required, allows pipe section replacement. 60% noise reduction compared to rigid connections.

The Repico® Grip type coupling is designed to replace traditional pipe joining methods (welded, flanged, threaded, etc.). The Grip type pipe coupling offers a tensile or restraint connection between the pipes. This means that there is a leak free connection made and the pipes are held in position inside the coupling. A grip ring holds the pipe within the coupling. Of course any type of pipe material that can withstand the sealing pressure of the coupling can be connected. Note that there are different versions for metallic and plastic pipes. No special tools or skilled people are required to install the Repico® product program. The pipe ends only need to be deburred and cleaned. The bolts tightened evenly and torqued with a torque wrench ensures a secure and durable connection. The Repico® slip type coupling is designed to replace traditional pipe joining methods (welded, flanged, threaded, etc.) The Repico Slip type pipe coupling offers a non-tensile or non-restraint connection between the pipes. This means that there is a leak free connection made and the pipes are not held in position inside the coupling. Contraction and/or expansion of the pipe material can be handled within the coupling. Any type of pipe material that can withstand the sealing pressure of the coupling can be connected. Material that is not strong enough or has the tendency to shrink should be supported by a support bush (insert or stiffener). The Quick Repair (QR) transition coupling sets a new standard for quick but professional repairing of leaking pipe connections. The QR coupling is maintenance free and made entirely of stainless steel AISI 304 with a rubber sealing (EPDM or NBR) inside and is therefore fully protected against corrosion. The wedges are easy to assemble without using a special tool and you only have to clean the sealing surfaces. Furthermore a big benefit of the QR coupling is that you don’t have to stop the flow during mounting, the pipeline stays operational. This sustainable professional solution means a lot of time gain for the mechanic.

AVK recommends usage of support bushes in the PE pipe when using a tensile coupling or flange adaptor such as an AVK combi-flange and a Supa Plus™ or Supa Maxi™ coupling. AVK support bushes are made of stainless steel AISI 304 and are standard available for SDR 11, SDR 13,6, SDR 17 and SDR 17,6 PE pipes. Other SDR classes on request.
