The fresh date, when it reaches maturity, is a fragile and delicate fruit to transport and it is partly for this reason that it is dried. It is a very energetic fruit, rich in sugars but also in vitamins, minerals, chromium and fibre.

Date sugar is not actually sugar but the product of dried dates that have been ground into fine pieces, date sugar is intensely sweet, with a richness similar to brown sugar. Unlike other sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, and others, date sugar is not refined and is therefore technically considered a whole food

When goods are received, we can take additional care by recording the best-before date. This is ideal for the fulfilment of food products; such as foodstuffs and supplements. Monta records the best before dates of these products at product receipt. These types of products cannot be sent to customers if they a) do not have a batch number or b) if the best before date has expired. Food products can also have inbound and outbound periods; in other words when these products can no longer be received or shipped by Monta. It’s the customer’s responsibility to monitor which best before dates are about to expire. This is clearly displayed in the Monta portal reports. These reports can also be sent out automatically by email.

The LogTag UTRED30-16R Temperature Logger CDC/VFC is a data logger specifically for monitoring temperature during transport and storage of vaccines. The datalogger has a measuring range from -40°C to +99°C and measures and stores up to 16.129 temperature measurements. The temperature is measured by the datalogger using an external sensor.
