BS "Bright Stock" / KS-19p oil is a high-viscosity cylinder oil, that refers to high-viscosity base oils obtained by distillation under atmospheric pressure and vacuum distillation, extraction and dewaxing of solvents from residual oils – as well as at the end of hydrotreating. The name "Bright Stock" comes from a method of producing a high viscosity cylinder oil of a bright color (Bright) by mixing naphtha with a dark colored cylinder oil, the mixture is left until winter, the wax ingredients are extracted from it, and then the naphtha liquid is distilled.
