Tyrolit cup wheels are exceptionally robust and durable, offering high stock removal rates, especially when machining large welding seams or grinding imperfections on exposed concrete surfaces. Our range includes cup wheels for metal, marble, slate, and granite, all identified by a consistent color coding system for easy selection. For metal machining, our cup wheels are designed for steel and stainless steel, perfect for large-area grinding, edge grinding, and bevelling. For stone, our cup wheels remove imperfections on exposed concrete, pre-grind engineered stone and terrazzo slabs, and perform surface grinding on marble, slate, and granite. Cup wheels are designed for use with angle grinders of 178 mm diameter. Smaller machines turn too fast, and larger machines too slow. Always use a special protection cover for safety. The use of our tapered brushes is incredibly versatile, whether for cleaning welding seams, edge grinding, or rust removal. Tyrolit has the right brush for every application, ensuring convincing results every time. Our tapered brushes are particularly suitable for hard-to-reach areas, making them ideal for machining both steel and stainless steel. Safety is paramount with our brushes. Depending on the category, our tapered brushes feature the unique SHIELD system, a transparent protection that allows an unrestricted view of the workpiece while protecting against dust and wire breakage. The variety of wire types ensures the right brush for every need. High-quality stainless steel wire prevents rusting, brassed steel wire (SM) prevents corrosion, and hardened steel wire (SH) offers additional lifetime. Knotted wire (DW) and twisted wire (DZ) are also available, with DZ particularly suited for heavy work and severe contaminations.

Flap discs that excel in quality, performance, and handling are Tyrolit's standard. As a leading manufacturer of abrasives, Tyrolit offers a wide range of flap discs for various applications, including trimmable discs and those with natural fiber cores. Specifications vary for machining steel, stainless steel, or nonferrous metals, incorporating technologies like CERABOND, LONGLIFE, and FASTCUT. Each flap disc in our assortment is designed for specific uses. CERABOND discs, available with fiberglass or trimmable plastic backing, offer up to 30% more material removal and 100% utilization. FASTCUT discs are ideal for edge grinding and weld seam removal, providing maximum stock removal on various steels. Flap discs for nonferrous metals feature ceramic grain for self-cleaning and sharpening, preventing smearing and dullness. The C-TRIM with LONGLIFE technology ensures an above-average lifespan and full abrasive cloth utilization.

The mechanical processing of the already cut parts – withering of edges after cutting, smoothing of welded seams and joints, polishing, grinding, are the necessary final steps in the processing of parts made of sheet materials. This type of treatment is recommended not only for visual and aesthetic purposes, but also to improve the quality of subsequent coatings. We have special, automatic and manual machines for mechanical processing, which meet the requirements of ISO 13715 for withering of all cutting edges. For small products we use trowalizing machines. The types of mechanical processing of metals allow different subsequent effects: polishing – mirror effect, satin finish (creasing) – brushed effect, matting – matte effect. In addition to the decorative purposes, we mechanically process many of the parts we produce after welding, in preparation for the application of subsequent coatings.
