Engraving stone is often done with the help of our BRM lasers! Many types of stone like granite, sandstone, limestone, and bluestone have been engraved by our clients. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to cut stone, this is because it requires too much power and produces a significant amount of pollution. However, engraving stone with our CO2 laser gives beautiful results! The laser beam leaves a mark on the stone because of the intense heat it produces, which on its own creates a spectacular effect on the surface! The best results created by the BRM machines are often made in the darker types of stones like marble or granite. These are realized when the stone is polished or when the stone naturally has a close-grained smooth structure. To make the results look even more astonishing our clients sometimes put waterproof paint on the engraved surface to highlight it.
