EWS takes measures against vibrations in deep drilling procedures Deep drilling procedures with drilling rods with a long overhang are one of the most demanding tasks in cutting technologies. What influences vibration, what amplitudes does it create, what is the effect of superimposed vibration and when are uncontrollable resonances encountered? All these are questions that are difficult to answer using theory alone. These findings formed the basis for the new development of EWS Rigid. The objective was to create a drilling holder with a passive damping system to counteract the vibrations that are created. This involves using variable vibration dampers with linear degrees of freedom in a floating mounting inside the cutter carrier. The damper position is set using a radially mounted setscrew, which allows optimum vibration conditions to be created. The improvement in surface qualities of bores is significant, as is the increase in the service life of cutter tools.

IKO Precision Positioning Table TS/CT is a compact positioning table made of a cast iron slide table and bed with high rigidity and vibration damping performance, incorporating an IKO Crossed Roller Way with a solid record in the field of precision linear motion rolling guides, and using a precision ball screw for the feeding mechanism. IKO Precision Positioning Table TS/CT is available in oneaxis and twoaxis specifications and is widely used in precision measuring instruments and precision assemblers that require high precision positioning.

Precision Positioning Table LH is a highreliability, highprecision and highrigidity positioning table made of a cast iron slide table and bed with high rigidity and excellent vibration damping performance, incorporating an IKO Linear Way and using a precision ball screw for the feeding mechanism. Rotating Piston Absorbers are displacement absorbers using hydraulic flow resistance. They are used to damp rotational vibrations, e.g. absorbers for ropeway cabins (see VDIRichtlinie VDI 3833 German Association of Engineers, sheet 1). The design is customized. Our rubber-coated metal strips are used in numerous applications, such as engine and aggregate seals. In addition to NBR, we also coat metal strip with EPDM, NR, HNBR and FPM in thicknesses of 10 μm - 2 mm. Epdm Sound Barriers are sound insulation materials applied between sponges in areas where high decibel sounds are desired to be stopped. At the same time, vibration damping is quite higher than sponge materials. If direct sound suppression is desired, EPDM heavy lead barrier can be used. EPDM barriers that can be applied together with Acoustic Sponges provide excellent acoustic performance and durability. It is generally used in mechanical spaces or drum rooms to cut very strong sounds.
