The GEMÜ 554 2/2-way angle seat globe valve has a plastic piston actuator and is pneumatically operated. The valve spindle is sealed by a self-adjusting gland packing or a compact seal cartridge, dependent on the size and version. A wiper ring or the wiper contour of the seal cartridge additionally protects the valve spindle against contamination and damage. This provides low maintenance and reliable spindle sealing even after a long service life. —Simple and fast commissioning —Good flow capability and compact design —Valve and positioner are optimally adapted to each other. The skids are fully assembled, including piping, wiring and testing in the SMS Workshop or in our partners´ workshop. The modular design significantly reduces the required amount of work for assembly and start-up which minimizes the downtime of the existing plant equipment and - as a result - just minor effects occur on the current production.

Over time, various factors such as exposure to contaminants, age, incorrect operation, sensor deterioration, a drift in electronics or exposure to corrosive gases, can contribute to dewpoint instruments losing accuracy and reliability. To maintain accuracy and reliability, we advise an annual service and calibration. For instruments used in critical applications or aggressive environments, more frequent service and calibration intervals are recommended. Our Calibration Laboratory Engineers perform routine servicing, commissioning, fault finding, repairs and installation services in accordance with our accredited quality system. Our calibration range of -90 °C to +20 °C dewpoint is traceable to National and International Humidity Standards at the National Physical Laborarory (NPL).
