The short-wave thermoIMAGER TIM M thermal imaging cameras are mainly used in the metal processing industry. Due to its short-wave measuring wavelength, these infrared cameras are ideal for temperature monitoring during melting, hardening and forming processes.

Fitted with an integrated sensor with low energy consumption, able to detect the charge level and health of the battery, the remaining useful life and the condition of the alternator. The Bluetooth® transmission allows data reading and archiving on the MY MIDAC APP.

EGE flow sensors for gaseous mediums without integrated amplifier permit the space-saving flow measurement on site and the comfortable setting of the limit value using separate amplifier, e.g. within a control cabinet. The measurement takes place without mechanically moving parts using a thermal measuring element. The current flow state is displayed at the amplifier using LEDs. The devices are used wherever a safe, robust and low-maintenance monitoring of flow values is required. This includes e.g. air conditioning technology, monitoring of exhaust air systems and ventilation monitoring.

The IST AG MicroFlowSens (MFS) technology was developed for fast flow measurements. Due to the membrane system, the thermal mass is reduced to the minimum resulting in a very fast response time and low power consumption. In addition to measuring flow rates, the MicroFlowSens offers an outstanding sensitivity and is able to detect flow direction. The MFS flow sensor is optimal for limited space system integration and is available as integrated sensor on a PCB. Our product portfolio guarantees maximum flexibility for temperature measurement. The temperature sensors of the TS series offer tailor-made solutions by simple programming, flexible process connections and displays. The TTM/TTMS series includes a number of compact sensors - optionally with integrated probe or with M12 connector for separate probes. The T-Gage infrared sensors contactlessly measure temperatures from 0 to 300 °C. The TP-series includes temperature probes in various lengths and diameters.

The BTS 8101.EO O-frame is based on the combisensor principle. The system is equipped with a non-contact capacitive sensors and a Thrubeam sensor which are integrated in a traversing frame. The eddy current sensor measures the reference distance to the measurement roll‘s metal surface. The distance from the film surface is measured by the Thrubeam sensor. Together with the reference signal the film thickness is calculated. This combisensor principle allows extreme precise measurements.

This high-precision torque sensor can be used to perform both static and dynamic measurements on non-rotating parts. The internal and external square drive design make this sensor especially easy to fit in existing or new screw-fitting applications. Quality assurance and monitoring of screw-fastening tools are just two applications that can take full advantage of sensor features such as USB port, built-in amplifier and side-load absorbing bearings. With no rotating parts, this sensor needs no maintenance when used correctly. Available accessories include mounting brackets and flange adapters, which enable quick, easy and practical integration of the sensor into existing or newly developed setups and test benches. The strain-gauge based sensor’s modular design allows precise configuration for the desired application. With the integrated amplifier option, the sensor directly supplies a voltage signal of 0 ... ± 10 V that is proportional to the torque.

The colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller for precise color recognition in industrial measurement tasks. The CFO series is distinguished by high color accuracy, state-of-the-art interfaces and intuitive operation. The controller is connected to CFS sensors with integrated optical fibers, which can be adapted for different measurement tasks. The colorSENSOR CFO is used in color recognition tasks on interior parts such as head supports, in packaging control or in color sorting tasks with crown caps, closures or labels.

The tension & compression load cells from the 8523 series are designed for a wide range of uses. The sensors feature many benefits, including three point-contact mounts for tilt-free installation. Thanks to this feature, excellent measurement results can be achieved even with a sub-optimum mounting surface. The force to be measured is applied to the central threaded hole in the tension or compression direction. For measuring purely compressive loads, using load buttons from our accessories range saves the need for complex sensor-integration mechanisms. Tensile loads in rods or chains can also be detected with ease using the optional pull plate. Inside the sensor is an elastic membrane, on which are applied strain gages connected in a full Wheatstone bridge. The capaNCDT CST6110 is a capacitive rotation speed sensor system for counting tasks and rotational speed measurements of any type. The industrial measuring system consists of a dust proof, water tight controller and a compact sensors which can be integrated in confined spaces. The rotation speed sensor is used in centrifugal test benches, balancing machines, generators and engines, as well as shafts and drives. The CST6110 detects and counts blades, gearwheels and nubs with the highest precision and stability even in dusty, oily environments.

The optoNCDT 1320 is a new laser triangulation sensor with compact size for displacement, distance and position measurements. Due to its extremely compact size including integrated controller, the sensor can also be integrated into restricted installation space. Its low weight make the optoNCDT 1320 ideally suitable for applications where high accelerations occur, e.g., on the robot arm or in pick-and-place machines. The optoNCDT 1320 offers high accuracy and adjustable measuring rates up to 4kHz. The Active Surface Compensation (ASC) provides stable distance signal control regardless of target color or brightness. Very small objects can be detected reliably due to the small measurement spot size.

The LVP-25-Z20 and LDR-14-Z20 sensors are used for monitoring the clamping position in machine tools. These inductive sensors are integrated in the release device and directly measure the clamping stroke of the drawbar onto which the target ring is glued. Due to their extremely compact design, these sensors are used for different types of tools while providing high-precision and continuous monitoring. No adjustment is necessary when changing the tool.

The new optoNCDT ILR1171-125 laser distance sensor is used for distance measurements up to 270 m and particularly impresses in outdoor measurements. Due to the laser time-of-flight principle with infrared light and a measuring rate of up to 40 kHz, high energy pulses are achieved, allowing stable measurements with very good signal quality. In addition, this better compensates for interfering influences such as fog or rain. The high temperature stability allows applications at temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the sensor can also be integrated into the smallest installation spaces.

The colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller for precise color detection in industrial measurement tasks. The CFO series is characterized by high color accuracy, modern interfaces and intuitive operation. CFS sensors with integrated fiber optics are connected to the controller, which can be adapted for different measurement tasks. The colorSENSOR CFO is used for color detection on interior parts such as headrests, packaging inspection or sorting by color of crown caps, closures or labels. The colorSENSOR replaces the models of the LT series.

New interferometer sensors with different designs and properties are available for the integration in demanding environments. Due to its 90° beam path, the IMP-DS0.5/90/VAC can also be mounted in low installation spaces. The new IMP-DS1/VAC miniature sensor is one of the smallest optical sensors from Micro-Epsilon. With a diameter of 4 mm and an integrated cable, the sensor can also be used in extremely confined installation spaces. Sensors and cables can be used both in the clean room and in a vacuum.

The confocalDT IFD2415 and IFD2410 are powerful confocal sensors with integrated controller. The space-saving IP65-housing enables fast integration into plant equipment and machines as no optical fiber is required. Furthermore, the IFD2410 and 2415 are ideally suited to high precision distance and thickness measurements in industrial series applications. In addition, the IFD2415 can be used with transparent materials for multi-layer thickness measurements of up to 5 layers. The active exposure time regulation of the CCD line enables fast and stable measurements of varying surfaces even in dynamic processes up to 25 kHz. The measuring system is also characterized by high luminous intensity which enables fast and reliable measurements even on dark surfaces.

The new thicknessSENSOR opens up diverse application possibilities in terms of non-contact thickness measurement. The sensor operates with high precision and enables fast commissioning as well as ease of use. The thicknessSENSOR is a fully assembled system for non-contact thickness measurements of strip and plate material. The system consists of two displacement sensors that are fixed opposite to each other on a frame and measure against the target from both sides. The material thickness is detected according to the difference principle and calculated using an integrated evaluation unit. The measurement values are output as analog values via voltage and current or in digital form via Ethernet. Due to its extremely compact size, the sensor can also easily be integrated into restricted installation space. The intuitive web interface provides the new thicknessSENSOR with unique ease of use and enables the user to load individual presets for the respective measurement task. Up to eight

Application examples are often found where the standard versions of the sensors and the controller are performing at their limits. For these special tasks, the measurement systems can be modified according to the customer’s individual requirements. Changes requested include, for example, modified designs, target calibration, mounting options, individual cable lengths, modified measuring ranges or sensors with integrated controller.

Micro-Epsilon offers a comprehensive range of capacitive displacement sensors. These capacitive sensors are used for displacement, position and also for thickness measurements. Different sensor designs enable optimal integration into machines and systems. The capaNCDT sensors achieve best values in terms of linearity, temperature stability and resolution. While sub-micrometer precision is reached in industrial environments, even sub-nanometer accuracy can be achieved in clean environments.

The new capacitive sensor system capaNCDT 6228 is designed for measurement tasks with ambient temperatures up to +800 °C. Up to four high-temperature sensors of the CSE/HT series can be connected simultaneously to the powerful controller. The integrated high-temperature sensor cable compensates for interference from electric or magnetic fields. Furthermore, the measured data is output both analog and digital via modern interfaces such as Ethernet and EtherCAT.

The capaNCDT DT61x4 is an active, capacitive system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor with integrated preamplifier, a robust cable and a compact controller, the measuring system is immediately ready for use without any on-site calibration. The measuring system is available with a cable length up to 15 m and is ideal for automation purposes. The capaNCDT 61x4 is particularly suitable for automated robot manufacturing and measurement tasks with a drag chain. Moreover, it is used in machine building and semiconductor production. For optimum signal quality, the desired cable length is already factory-calibrated.

Modifying the standard eddyNCDT sensors is sometimes necessary particularly for small and large series. Therefore, we modify the measuring systems according to your specific requirements, e.g., changes to the cable, sensor material and design, and to the controller. In particular, sensors with integrated electronics in a miniature housing or special sensor designs are often requested by systems integrators.

Non-contact, inductive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon operate according to the eddy current measuring principle. Unlike conventional, inductive displacement sensors, they measure on ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials providing high accuracy, frequency response and temperature stability. Due to their immunity to oil, dirt, pressure and temperature, these inductive eddy current sensors are primarily used for integration in machines and facilities.

The eddyNCDT 3005 is a compact inductive measuring system (eddy current) for precise displacement and position measurements. The system comprises a robust controller, a sensor and an integrated cable and is factory-calibrated either for ferromagnetic or non-ferromagnetic materials.
