Our modern machinery ensures precision and offers a multitude of options when it comes to grinding different work pieces SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik relies on the highest precision and quality when grinding work pieces and components for contract manufacturing jobs. The advantages of grinding over other types of machining are the easier machinability of hard materials, the high dimensional accuracy and the low roughness of polished surfaces. When it comes to grinding, we rely on our modern machines and the vast experience of our motivated staff. We're able to flat grind work pieces with dimensions of 1700 x 750 mm and perform external cylindrical grinding on parts with a diameter of up to 500 x 2,000 mm. For external cylindrical grinding, we can handle component weights of up to 500 kilograms

As a dependable specialist in the processing of large parts, we can weld work pieces with a unit weight of up to five tons and flexibly adjust to accommodate different needs, including heat treatment and documented testing procedures: Our qualified and experienced staff are at home with various different welding techniques, such as MIG/MAG, TIG and arc welding. On request, we can carry out hardfacing of work pieces and large parts and employ special welding methods as part of the contract manufacturing service. Do you have any special wishes or requirements? We also weld custom solutions and highly complex parts with the utmost precision - on time and for a reasonable price. Our welding workshop is certified according to DIN EN ISO 3834.

SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik's contract manufacturing department has a well-provisioned materials warehouse and the latest automatic band saws SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik's contract manufacturing division is a competent partner when it comes to cutting by saw too. We stock standard materials in the most common dimensions in our materials warehouse for you. This means that we can respond to requests extremely quickly. We have two ultramodern automatic band saws that can precisely cut to size materials with a diameter of up to 450 mm. The machines are capable of cutting mitres and stack cutting too.

Our workshop is equipped with CNC boring mills SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik's modern machinery offers a variety of options when it comes to the contract manufacturing and machining of work pieces and large machine parts. As a reliable machinist of large parts, SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik relies on state-of-the-art CNC boring mills whose complex movements are controlled by computer and which can be programmed. The employees working in our machine shop have modern 5-axis boring mills with axis travels of 3,500 x 2,000 x 1,500 mm at their disposal. They allow us to perform heavy-duty machining jobs as well as all other typical milling work. Our complete mastery of this flexible manufacturing process guarantees high-quality results are achieved in the most efficient way.

SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik uses state-of-the-art metal working machines to apply the finishing touches SCHMIDT Zerspanungstechnik's modern milling machines make it possible to custom-machine work pieces to extremely high precision during contract manufacturing work. Our machinery includes several universal machining centres and computer-controlled CNC milling machines; among them column, bed and gantry milling machines. 5-axis milling technology allows the machine to position and move the milling cutter at any angle to the workpiece which makes producing extremely complex 3D contours possible. In addition to this, our machines offers qualitative benefits in that almost all points to be machined can be reached without having to re-clamp the work piece. We also have fully controlled rotary index tables and indexing heads, and work with magnetic and vacuum clamping systems. We're able to machine work pieces of up to 10,000 mm in size.

Skorpion 650 EB is a stationary drum chipper designed for chipping flat edgings, round timber, various types of furniture and sawmill waste of a width to 650 mm. The drive section of Skorpion 500 EB chipper is a 90 or 110 kW slow-running electric motor. In contrast to high-speed motors, this motor is features more stable operation and higher torque. A slow-speed motor with the same power achieves greater energy transmission, and by increasing the diameter of the pulley on this motor, the service life of the V-belts is extended. The cutting system of the chipper includes a drum with 2, 3 or optionally 4 cutting knives and 1 counter-knife. Screen used in the construction of this chipper ensures high regularity in size of the product. The required size of chips can be obtained by adequate configuration of suitable number of knives on the drum and the diameter of holes in the screen.

There is an angular disk frame-saw of MAA in-process.
