The pressure relief valves GEMÜ N085 and N185 protect the plant and the piping system against gauge pressure and reduces pressure peaks. The third pipe spigot enables the valve to be installed in the main pipe. If the pressure increases, the spring is raised and the valve opens. The pressure is reduced to the preset value and can escape via the third pipe spigot into an adjacent pipe. If the pressure falls, the spring force presses the diaphragm in the direction of the seal seat and it is closed. The spring force can be adjusted as required using a set screw. - Valve adjustments can also be made under working pressure. - The optimization of piston, springs and control face ensures good control characteristics - The actuator is hermetically separated from the medium

As emergency venting device for installation on storage tanks with a VRV to protect against hazardous excess pressure but minimize the loss of gas/vapours. Also suitable as replacement of a manhole. This device does not protect against the hazard of explosion or stabilized burning.

Pressure relief devices for liquid-immersed transformers open in case of an internal fault and guarantee that the occured overpressure can properly release. Pressure relief devices close with decreasing pressure back to completely closed and leaktight position. Pressure relief devices for transformers can be installed in any position or inclination on the cover or the wall of a transformer. Upon request a transformer can be equipped with several pressure relief valves.

The safety valve is designed to protect the silo from damage caused by high or low pressure encountered during discharge and filling.

If pump starting cause pressure surge, the pilot smoothly opens the valve to limit pressure rising.
