Our high-capacity portal palletizers act in a material-caring manner on three servo-linear axes within cubic space. We develop, design and manufacture portal robots in our in-house production facility in Gescher-Hochmoor. We are a specialist in the high-care segment -with portal robots made of high-grade steel.

Portal frame buildings are low-rise steel structures consisting of rafters and columns which are connected to moment-resisting connections for super strength. As a result, they are constructed bay by bay which make them very fast to erect on site. Portal frame steel constructions are therefore typically seen in warehouses, barns and other places where large, open spaces are required at low cost and a pitched roof is acceptable. Our modern steelwork fabrication shops have computer-aided design and detailing (CAD), which is linked directly to factory floor computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery, creating a genuine seamless CAD/CAM environment. The accuracy of the computer-generated details being transmitted directly to the CNC machinery increases the quality standards of the production. Novelty Steel has adapted EN 1090-2 standards into its manufacturing processes supervised by experienced quality management team.

The PRINCIPAL-P, a high-performance portal palletizer, combines the high speed of the PRINCIPAL-H with a gripper adapted to the respective application, e.g. combined grippers for palletizing bags and boxes. The great advantage of the PRINCIPAL-P is that it does not push bags, but lays them down and can therefore palletize them overlapping. Furthermore, the bags are pressed from all four sides to obtain a well-structured layer pattern. Boxes are also lifted, laid and afterwards the layer is formed. When arranging the bags or boxes, it is ensured that the bags or boxes are brought into the required position, e.g. barcodes can be read from the outside. In addition, a robot can be installed for possible depalletizing work. Further options enable the PRINCIPAL-P to be optimally adapted to customer requirements.

EQUIPMENT

The Dörries CONTUMAT VC series, designed as a double column portal system, is ideal for larger swing diameters of 3,500 to 12,000 mm. The VC range combines all of the advantages of the VCE range with the ability to machine large scale components just as effectively. The positive construction properties of the smaller range are taken over here in correspondingly dimensioned main components. The range also provides high levels of flexibility by combining standard modules, providing the customer with a solution tailored to suit their individual needs. The closed portal construction of the double column vertical lathe guarantees high intrinsic rigidity, while the proven cast construction ensures excellent damping and thermostability. igm robot periphery The robot is mounted on the robot periphery in an upright or suspended position. The external axes of the track systems are fully integrated in the control system as NC axes, significantly extending the working area of the robot. A variety of different rotating and linear units are available, either as single axes or combined with up to three positioning units. It is also possible that several robots share a track axis. The positioning range of a longitudinal axis is up to 100 m and more. igm workpiece periphery The workpiece periphery holds, positions, and moves workpieces. The external axes are fully integrated in the control systems as NC axes and, in addition, feature manual control functionality. The Texel Portal MX is a compact, fullcolor 3D scanner for scanning people. It looks spectacular, scans quickly and prepares a 3D digital model in just 90 seconds. It takes just 30 seconds for the Texel Portal MX to analyse the person standing on the platform. Within one minute the Portal MX uses data from the sensors to create a realistic 3D model, develops it in the cloud and displays it on the screen. What can you do with the scan results? Offer your customers a small 3D model of themselves or send them a digital version by email which can then be shared on social media. The 3D models can also be integrated into other services such as AR/VR systems, computer games and virtual fitting rooms.

The Texel Portal BX is a fullcolor 3D scanner for scanning people. Fill in the registration form, start the scan and in just 30 seconds you will get a fulllength accurate 3D image of yourself. Portal BX is more than a 3D scanner. It is a complete complex which consists of a hightech scanner and software from Texel. While the scanner analyzes the person standing on the platform, special algorithms prepare to take over. In just 1 minute in the Texel Cloud the results of the scan turn into a realistic 3D model. Portal BX requires minimal human input and only requires registration with your name and email in order to receive the link to the model. You can share the link with your friends on social media right from our cloud. With the FZ100 Portal Milling Machine Zimmermann has managed to achieve 6-axis machining using the patented in-house developed M3ABC 3-axis Milling Head. The 5-axis portal milling machine FZ 25 is a universal solution for the machining of highly complex and at the same time voluminous components. The portal milling machine FZ40 compact is designed for the machining of hard materials as well as aluminum.
