LIPP® Gas Accumulators were developed as a system for the nonpressurised storage of dry gas which has been used for over 300 projects worldwide over the past years or more. Sizes from 30 to 5000 m³ are available according to the gas yield in each case. The gas accumulator consists of two parts a bubbleshaped storage balloon and a steel container to protect the balloon against mechanical damage and the effects of weathering. The tank is made from treated and painted carbon steel, the cover in fibreglass-reinforced polyester. It associates the advantages of a single-piece unit (simplicity of installation, limited civil engineering works) with the possibility of application in installations already of a considerable size. The transport of these single-piece units is of the special category, but still at acceptable costs (it does not need a police escort). To support loading equipment and easier silo plant maintenance and operability, there are different types of catwalks available depending on the span, distance to the ground and load supported. The design is modular with bolted joints. They are designed for people to pass through or as a support for mechanisation up to 2,000 T/h. The dimensions range from 80 mm to 3500 mm wide with an anti-slip floor and protective elements pursuant to standard UNE-EN ISO 14122.
