Driven tools form a further core area of EWS. More than 8,000 different tools are available at short notice. In addition to standard products like axial and angular heads, EWS offers swivel units, slot broaching tools, multiform tools and multi-spindle machines. There is just no limit. The tool clamping systems range from the classic collet chuck holder to Weldon and hydro extension to Capto, KM, ABS and HSK. The applications range from classic CNC lathes to highly complex turning milling centers. The rapid change system EWS-Varia has set a standard for a flexible modular system. With its safe handling and short change-over times, EWS-Varia ranks among the most successful systems in the market. This was impressively confirmed by the Innovation Award awarded by the German state of Baden-Württemberg in 2006. "Made in Germany" is of course guaranteed by EWS also for these tool systems.

Due to multi axis and driven tools, very complex parts can be produced.

ECOROLL multi-roller tools are usually used for roller burnishing. Types G, R and RA machine cylindrical through and blind bores, stepped bores and cylindrical external surfaces including similar non-cylindrical surfaces. . RP, RK, RKA and RKAK tools are designed for plane surfaces, cones and spherical surfaces. RH/RHA tools deep roll fillets and chamfers. FA tools deep roll large thread root radii. All ECOROLL multi-roller tools can be used on CNC turning, drilling or milling machines and machining centers or on conventional machine tools. They can be characterised by reliable functioning and high precision. Adjustment of diameters is very convenient, and only nominal lubrication is required. Futhermore, replacement of wear parts is very simple. This uncomplicated maintenance and short primary processing times enable significant time savings.

Progressive tools are widely used in many areas of production. They enable the production of many details of the same shape or dimensions in a short time. The latter can be found, among others, in the automotive industry, where about 95% of elements are formed by forming on presses. Progressive dies, like other tools we supply, are used for plastic working of thin metals. They are multi-measure tools. They perform a specific element in a few movements (tacts), with a different feature assigned to each successive pressure of the die. Dies and other progressive tools consist of a die and a punch. Designed with the use of modern programs such as CAD, they can have very complex shapes.

The solid machine design of the h-frame press with section steel frame structure is the basis for integration of multi-head tools.
