This is the most installed version of the fabric expansion joints (KOREMA® type A3 or AC3 as well as B3 or BC3). The name »flange-type« is used for expansion joints located between pipe or duct end flanges. For existing plants, the flange design varies according to customers’ requirements or depending on the constructed steel design. For innovative designs KOREMA® will identify the suitable technical and economical solution. Special design: supplied as »open« multilayer expansion joint. On-site service available exclusively from the KOREMA® service team. Insulation is incorporated to protect the expansion joint against abrasion as well as for thermal insulation. The choice of insulating material, either mineral wool or ceramic felt, depends on the design temperature. For operation at or below dew point, a vulcanized elastomeric layer is available. Pre-assembled units, complete with liners and clamp bars, are available.

The pyrometric assemblies are perfectly suited for high temperature applications: they are complete measuring assemblies with a mineral insulated thermocouple or a ceramic insulated protection and equipped with an outer protective mechanical tube. They are fitted with electrical connection devices and mechanical fasteners. The ceramic sleeve authorizes temperature measurement up to 1600°C, even 1800°C in some cases.

Fabric compensators are highly flexible and usually made of multi-ply fabric, offering excellent temperature resistance and chemical resistance depending on the particular design. Mainly used in pipe and conduit systems to compensate for axial, lateral and angular movements. One major advantage of this type of compensator is the low restoring forces. Special fabric materials permit temperatures of up to 1,000°C. Additional insulation can be used to resist temperatures of up to 1,600°C . It camouflages spots, irregular shapes, discoloured teeth, too wide apart or misaligned. The facet is ultra fine, ceramic or composite material according to demand. There are indeed several qualities of facets: composite or ceramic facets. Composite facets are advantageous due to their cost and resin composition, reinforced by mineral charges. Then we have the ceramic facet which is often used as a substitute for dental bleaching. The ceramic facets guarantee a natural appearance of the teeth for about twenty years.

The use of XRF techniques enables a non-destructive analysis of nearly all kind of samples with almost no pre-processing. Already this basic spectrometer configuration allows you to analyse: - solids (like metal alloys, minerals, jewellery, electronic parts [PCB],…) - powders (minerals, ceramics, paint, soil,… ) in a corresponding holder - liquids (oils, solutions, paint, …) in a corresponding holder with respect to the latest restricted materials guidelines (like RoHS, WEEE, etc.) but also in a more general way to estimate the composition in an element range from Al (13) to U (92). A CCD camera is used to position the sample that only the area of interest is measured – with the use of suitable collimators a minimum spot size of 1mm can be realized. To enhance the measurement speed and analytical performance (energy resolution) the EA1000VX is equipped with a state-of-the-art 50mm2 SDD detector (no liquid Nitrogen needed anymore).
