The high-quality CPY20 buffers guarantee pH calibration to ultimate precision. They are produced and bottled in the permanent calibration laboratory that has successfully passed the tough DAkkS accreditation (German accreditation authority). The buffers are specified with an accuracy rating of +/-0.02 pH. They are traceable to NIST and PTB standard reference material and contain only FDA-listed preservatives. We started using this machine for soft materials in 2013 where a lot of customers asked us for another smaller option beside a swing beam press! With the STAR MA3 we can offer you a solution! It works exactly like a bigger swing beam press. The cutting head is attached to a cylinder on the backside of the machine. The force isn't made by hydraulic systems. It is made manually through a 812mm long handle on the front of the machine. The head is inclined a few degress like a bigger swing beam press. This is balanced if the cutting head is under force. This many is used worldwide for small quanitities for cutting leather, pictures or laboratory works. VCI 8003 is the safest VCI chemistry available for both workers and the environment. Its components are included on the FDA’s list of materials approved for contact with food, CFR 21 and they are widely used in body care products. VCI 8003 is supplied as a transparent, color-free masterbatch that can be added to other masterbatch resins or can be mixed with other additives like colorants, UV protection, Anti-static, Anti block, among others. The compatability with other additives in combination with VCI 8003 must be tested in advance. Applying VCI 8003 can be added to LDPE/LLDPE/MDPE and HDPE mixtures at a ratio of 4 % to the total finished weight for films of 60-120 microns. It is an advantage to produce coextruded film with VCI 8003 added only to the inner layer, since the dosage can then be reduced (as an example, for 100 microns film, VCI 8003 can be applied at 8% to the inner layer of 40 microns).
