What’s more, our Metallic ND Filters are supplied in a range of sizes and shapes with custom coatings tailored to meet your individual applications. Our Metallic ND Filters reflect (with a metallic coating) light neutrally over a wavelength range (typically visual). They can be used to lower the intensity of light prior to the image plane. These are often used in photography, allowing photographers more flexibility with their setups to achieve desired effects. Often, an ND filter will be used in conjunction with a long exposure to prevent washed-out and overexposed images. Titanium is a silvery-white light metal that is often found, but is difficult to extract. In its pure form titanium is easy to form, malleable, thermally relatively stable and very good electrical conductor. Important characteristics are its mechanical strength and low thermal expansion. Titanium is relatively resistant to air at room temperature and its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of precious metals. High-purity titanium is used as a getter metal to remove the last gas residues in vacuum technology, as it reacts with small amounts of oxygen. Corrosion-resistant, pure titanium is used in the construction of chemical plants. Due to their high strength, low weight and excellent corrosion resistance, titanium alloys are excellent construction materials for shipbuilding and the aerospace industry. Titanium is also an important alloying element in special steels.

Reinforced threaded inserts allow threaded holes which have been damaged, torn out or jammed to be used again or to be repaired. This makes it possible to recover scrap and rejects of expensive products. Reinforced threaded inserts are suitable for use in various materials, including light metals and casting. Inserts with internal threads larger than M6 are supplied with four locking pins instead of two. Permissible deviations: The medium tolerance class applies to the threads listed, i.e. 6H for nut threads and 6g for bolt threads. Other dimensions ±0.25 mm. With reinforced threaded inserts we also offer a version with a stronger cross-section for use in applications with greater stress.
