While various idlers have been developed to perform adequately in different installations, determining the most appropriate one remains a challenging task. The primary function of an idler roll is to provide load support with minimal resistance to movement, particularly addressing radial loading from the belt and materials across specific idler spacing. This role encompasses absorbing impact at the loading point and managing belt tension in curved sections, which can be challenging to quantify. Modern conveyor design methods have enhanced our comprehension and control, providing clearer insights into idler implications. Assemblies of idler rolls are strategically designed to influence the belt profile, often forming a trough or tube. It’s essential to acknowledge that the trough’s shape, consistency, and flexibility significantly impact idler roll behaviour.

FREE ROLLER CONVEYORS DIAMETER MM. 60 AND PITCH MM. 80 FOR PALLETS The free roller conveyors P80 are characterized by a rollers diameter of mm. 60 mm and pitch mm. 80 and are the ideal solution when handling pallets, containers with reduced base and standard pallets with cross feed. They consist of a robust structure coated steel profile, with fixable supports and adjustable feet. The rollers are of high quality made of galvanized steel. Rotation on shielded ball bearings with permanent lubrication. The roller conveyors are built according to the scale, size and characteristics of packages to be handled.

Box weighing system to be integrated in manual idle lines When the box is positioned on the weighing station, the operator can read and check the weight of the products inserted in the box before placing it on the pallet and thus avoid errors or returns of the goods. In this way the operator can view the result of the weighing on the weight indicator without having to lift the packages to weigh them. The weight indicator is usually installed on a vertical post clamped to the structure of the roller conveyor. In this way the indicator remains positioned vertically and it is very easy for the operator to read the weight. The standard version foresees the installation of the basic DFWL indicator. On request it is possible to install the 7-key indicator also with DFWKPXP printer. The rollers used for the roller conveyors have a diameter of 50 mm and a pitch of 75 mm

Steel clamped and monobloc idlers with double cylindrical tube or conical tube.They are used in the production of gravity or push curves. Curves with rollers are used to deflect the straight running direction of the package in a circular direction.Their opening angle α° is normally 45°, 90° or 180°.Depending on the flow of material running clockwise or anticlockwise, they are named right or left.In the production of curves with idlers, the following types of rollers can be used:_ individual cylindrical rollers mounted in radially staggered fashion (base-idlers)

Steel rollers with the jacket consisting of tube and bearing mounting head rigidly coupled by welding.Monobloc steel rollers are used in conveyors with medium, heavy or very heavy loads. Depending on their application, the rollers have specific shapes for connection to the structure. This need is particularly noticeable in the production of gravity and motor-driven conveyors.For the correct installation of steel idlers, refer to the “Fixing rollers to structures” section on page 11.For the correct installation of motor-driven rollers, refer to the “Fixing rollers to structures” section on page 68. PVC-STEEL cylindrical and tapered rollers with one or two grooves rolled on the steel tube, driven by round belt links in series or individually connected to a transmission bar activated by the motor unit. PVC and PVC-STEEL rollers with flat or toothed polyamide resin PA or steel ACC pulley driven by tangential belt or belt links in series. The diagrams and tables on page 86 show the dimensional characteristics and minimum and maximum lengths of manufacture. The rollers for flat or toothed belts are produced in the following versions: with pinion integral to the jacket for continuous transport; with friction pulley for stockpiling transport and in the connection of machines operating at different speeds.

With PVC pipe and head, with steel tube and PVC head. They are mounted vertically with sliding guide functions; horizontally for special applications such as the mounting for tangential belts in motor-driven conveyors through driven base rollers or rollers with pulley for flat belt. With plastic wheels on steel axles, assembled in sequence, they are used as an alternative to tapered rollers in gravity curves for the handling of packages with a flat supporting surface and light loads. The wheels can be individually assembled, fixed on flatbeds by means of suitable brackets, in correspondence with exchanges between curves and tracks with idlers, in conjunction between tracks with ortogonal motor-driven rollers or with the function of guide-abutment of packages.

Support disks on idlers bridge larger distances to the conveyor belt. They support the belt and are preferably used in sidewall belts or profiled conveyor belts. The support disks (rubber rings) from FTK Förderband Technik Kilian GmbH are permanently fixed on the conveyor roller and are characterized by their abrasion resistant quality. In addition to the tried and tested standard, we also manufacture rings in special quality, e.g. B. white food quality, oil and fat resistant or for the extreme temperature range ( 40 ° C to 180 ° C).

Buffer rings absorb the falling energy of the conveyed goods and thus protect the belt from damage. The buffer rings (rubber rings) from FTK Förderband Technik Kilian GmbH are permanently attached to the conveyor roller and are characterized by their wear resistant quality. For the special requirements of your belt conveyor system, we manufacture for you idler pulleys, carrying idlers, throbbing drums, lift pulleys with or without internally located cone. With diameters up to max. 1,000 mm and lengths up to max. 4,500 mm, these are suitable for all types of belt conveyor system. All pulleys are turned cylindrically or spherically. The axle connections can be delivered in alternative designs with internal bearings, welded, with wedged connections or with clamping set shaft connections.
