High temperature resistance - the special feature of the inductive proximity switches of this product family. The EGE high temperature proximity switches are based on the conventional inductive principle and switch when a metallic object moves close. Sensors are available for the most varied applications. Compact sensors up to 160°C, initiators with replaceable heads and remote electronics for applications in areas up to 250°C hot, large switching distances, solid metal sensors, initiators with analogue output and external analysis unit - these represent only a brief sample of this programme. Special sealing technology, materials and design result in high resistance and service life and thus high plant availability.

Inductive proximity switches are contact-free sensors. They detect all conductive metals, regardless of whether they move or not. The achievable sensing range of the devices depends on the object material and its dimensions. The vibration-resistant sensors can be approached laterally or frontally. Inductive proximity switches are used for presence detection (e.g. goods carriers), positioning (e.g. dampers), counting (e.g. nuts /bolts), speed detection (e.g. for cog wheels), on conveyor systems (e.g. hose feedings) or distance measurements (e.g. press-in checking) of metallic objects.
