The Aerolift pipe lifting solutions are applied for many different situations and places. During production, storage, transhipment, and internal transport. For this specific situation we designed a lifting solution to handle bare and coated pipes aboard the ship. The ship, The Amazon, was converted to an ultra-deepwater J-Lay vessel. Our vacuum lifting devices are installed on 4 cargo hold cranes. In tandem mode the cranes will be used to load and unload 24-meter-long pipes in a cargo. The lifting devices are designed to limit deflection of double joint pipes or to handle the entire pipe by vacuum only.

During the Nord Stream 2 project several Aerolift lifting solutions were used on multiple locations. It is world’s largest pipeline project. During the project, a pipeline is laid through the Baltic Sea, which will transport natural gas over 1,200 km. From the world’s largest gas reserves in Russia via the most efficient route to consumers in Europe. Over 200.000 pipe segments needed to be handled. The Total-Meter™ is a fully calibrated electronic flow meter with a built-in flow totalizing function. The Total-Meter™ utilizes field-proven differential pressure flow measurement technology to accurately monitor industrial liquids or gases. The actual flow rate is displayed locally on the 4 digit LED display and is also retransmitted with a scalable 4-20mA output for remote monitoring. In addition, the Total-Meter™ tracks total volumetric consumption up to 999,999,999,999 engineering units and will communicate using the ModbusRTU protocol over RS-485/232. The Total-Meter™ is designed to be piped directly into a gas or liquid pipeline and requires minimal space. Integrated programmable flow alarm output can be configured to trigger either high or low flow alarm situations based on actual flow rates.

In comparison with traditional upstream installations, multiphase pumps need neither space-intensive separation devices at the borehole nor separate pumps, compressors or pipelines to transport gas and fluid to the central collection areas. Multiphase pumps are a cost-effective technology for the transportation of multiphase fluids using just a single pipeline - instead of separating the oil, water and gas at the collection areas and exporting the oil and gas to the central production facilities via separate pipelines.

Safety Relief Valves / Blow-Off Valves WITT safety relief valves (blow-off valves) protect against overpressure by venting excess gases from pipelines, gas receivers and other equipment. The spring-loaded, direct-acting safety relief valves (blow-off valves) are suitable for individual opening pressures from 5 mbar to 45 bar (approx. 0.07 to 1 435 psi). The compact size allows easy installation in any orientation. A dust cap protects the safety relief valves (blow-off valves) against dirt.
