PREPARATION OF SURFACES BEFORE APPLICATION The substrates must be clean, free of dust and any trace of formwork release oil. Indoors, during hot weather or on absorbent substrates the surfaces may be dampened slightly. Cracks should be opened up before application.

There should be neither too much nor too little formwork oil in the mould in total or on individual spots on the mould. To achieve even distribution at a minimum application rate of the release agent, the formwork oil must be split into many droplets of the same size.
