In doing so, we attach great importance to the topicality and future-proof development of the technology used. Programming under SIEMENS SPS, SIEMENS NC, BECKHOFF HMI and robot technology are our specialties. We are experts in realization drive and feedback control engineering, electrical project planning, control-cabinet construction, software development and control engineering.

Programming is completely done in-house according to DIN EN 61131-3. The preferred programming languages used are either Siemens’ Step 7 or 3S’ CodeSys. The hardware depends on the application: it ranges from miniature control systems to computer solutions with connections to the office world in order to document the manufacturing process ideally. By working closely together with our customers we attain individual use of technological possibilities.

Graphix Plus is an all-in-one laser marking station equipped with an electrical door (manual control) with an opening of up to 580mm. It has a large loading capacity and can be used to mark small to medium-sized parts. The X-axis is motorised, allowing the head to move vertically, giving a marking zone 475mm long. The marking head with on-board camera allows you to view the rendering and position the marking on-screen, thanks to the Smart View function. There's no need to move the part to ensure that the marking is correctly positioned; it adapts to the part, as everything can be controlled from the screen. Its ergonomic software developed by Technomark is very easy to use. It has a materials database, enabling marking to be done in just a few clicks. The station has a 250x225mm opening on the left-hand side for marking long parts. Its aluminium plate with universal T-slot allows various clamping systems to be fitted, such as a rotating D-axis for marking cylindrical parts.

Wear is a damage consisting in gradual removal or deformation of material on solid surfaces, caused by mechanical (e.g. erosion) or chemical (e.g. corrosion) influences. In machine elements, wear may give rise to material failure or loss of functionality. For the application in question, our client has to measure wear on the surface of rollers in cement mills. Up from a certain depth, reactions are required, generated by a warning system to be developed In this project, we used several robust QuellTech Q6 scanners to cover fully the roller width. Due to the high rotational speed of the rollers, we preferred our fastest scanners for this application. We furthermore developed a software solution and implemented a warning system, based on the critical depth of the wears on the surface. By means of this system, the customer can determine the correct time for exchange of the rollers.

The QS View software package is intended for dimensional control in 2D or 3D QS-View 2D / 3D software for all measuring tasks 3D representation of an irregular body for determination of volume and weight. With the 2D / 3D software a wide variety of parameters can be processed and displayed, e.g. length, width, angle height, gap, presence, volume (resp. weight), seam geometry (height, width), gap dimensions. Due to the modular structure of the software, customized specialties can be added any time. Each module delivers the results to an individual output module. BTF designs and builds ovens for performance of fire resistance testing according several standards. We have experience in the construction of vertical, horizontal and combi ovens which are built for fire resistance trials –under controlled pressure and temperature. The furnaces are equipped with all the instruments needed for the monitoring, the acquisition and the processing of data. We continuously develop our own software using Siemens material for the automatic monitoring of the ovens during tests on the basis of a programmed curve and with data measured by the various sensors and probes (temperature, pressure, oxygen, radiation, deflection,…) The ovens can be flexible and equipped with a loadbearing system, an outdoor chimney with an extraction or treatment of flue gas, walkways, camera, deflection measurement system, etc. We also manufacture frames, removable walls and caps to modulate space in ovens according to tested samples.
