The installed CODESYS PLC software package offers the possibility to use control functions in addition to visualisation. The visualisation is developed together with the PLC application in the free CODESYS Development System. The device communicates with the external fieldbus components via EtherCAT, OPC UA and Modbus. The LEO3 digital manometers also output the pressure values as an analog signal for display purposes and have an RS485 interface for integration in bus systems and communication with computers. The current 4...20 mA measured value is shown on the display at the same time as the pressure value. The minimum or maximum value since the last reset can also be displayed at the touch of a button. Power is supplied directly via the 4...20 mA circuit.

CANopen has been developed by the members of the international user and producer assosiation CAN in Automation (CiA). The CANopen application layer defines different communication services and protocols (e.g. process and service data) as well as a network management.
