DEWALT’s lead design engineer for drills was tasked with designing a high power right angle drill that is lightweight, compact, and portable. The goal with the design was to maximize performance while minimizing the size of the tool. The design would incorporate a mechanical clutch built to limit maximum torque output to 70 ft-lbs. Absent the clutch, with the huge gear reduction of 75:1, the drill would be capable of producing a lock rotor torque at the spindle of 175 ft-lbs, transmitted directly to the operator of the tool. It was determined early on that the clutching thrust required in the space available could only be achieved by a Disc Spring design. Compared to conventional coil springs, Disc Springs offer a higher load capacity in less space. Additionally, longevity and reliability is a high measure of quality for professional tools used on a daily basis. The life and performance warranty of the tool was reliant on the Disc Spring design. Thanks to the Inverter group it is possible to remove the entire mechanic clutch group, that has over 30 different part numbers (50 items). This upgrade also has the advantage of bringing significant savings during the maintenance phase, not just as regards the items that are removed, but also in terms of the gears, pins and bearings, since “softer” operations will prolong their productive lifetimes.

Many customers ask us what ROPP is and the simple answer is Roll On Pilfer Proof closure. Simply put it is an unthreaded aluminum shell that is placed on and pressed down onto the bottle neck while thread forming wheels spin around the shell and press against it to conform to the existing threads of the bottle and locking ring. In many respects a ROPP capper resembles a chuck capper although since it is not torquing a cap there is no clutch mechanism required. ROPP capping machines are available as a single head to multiple head high speed rotary systems. The big advantage of a ROPP capper machine is that it is sealing the product at the same time it is providing tamper evident security. The big disadvantage is that it is expensive to run more than one size cap. The neck and threads of the bottle must also be hard enough to withstand the pressure required to form threads such as glass or hard plastic.

Semi-automatic wrapping machine 2000 AWC The Semi-automatic Pallet Wrapping Machine has the role of making the packaging process more efficient, having a cut-out tray to facilitate access with the slide. In the upper part, the wrapping machine has an electric stabilizer, which favors and stabilizes the products on the pallet. The Easy Wrap 2000 AWC machine is electrically powered and requires a power of 1 KW. The foil tension is achieved by a mechanical clutch, adjustable by the operator. The wrapping machine has a standard platen and can support a maximum weight of 1200 kg. Easy Wrap 2000 AWC comes with a color touch screen, through which you can adjust up to 10 different programs for packing the pallet, as well as setting some parameters: speed of ascent and descent, cycle counter, etc.

Robot Palletizing 600 A Palletizing Robot 600 A is a palletizing machine used for wrapping pallets of any shape, weight and size. It is a self-propelled palletizing machine, powered by batteries, designed for wrapping palletized loads of any shape, weight and size using stretched film. The tension of the stretchable film is regulated by a mechanical clutch manually adjustable by the operator. The movement of the pallet wrapping robot takes place automatically thanks to the 2 controls positioned on the guide rudder. The robot is provided at the front with a safety bumper that allows immediate stopping in the event of a collision with an operator or an obstacle.

Semiautomatic palletizer 2000A The Semi-automatic palletizer 2000A is used for wrapping pallets, with a rotating table. Being a semi-automatic packaging machine, it requires an operator for its operation. The packaging machine is electrically powered with an energy power of 1 Kw. The tension of the film takes place through a mechanical clutch manually adjustable by the operator. As an alternative to this palletizing machine, the 2000B pallet wrapper is also available with motorized pre-stretching of the film. The distance between the rotary table and the column allows the wrapping of pallets with a diameter of up to 1500 mm, a height of 2200 mm and a capacity of up to 1500 kg. The advantage of this model is that both the rotary table and the column can be adapted to each individual customer depending on the dimensions of the pallets to be packed.
