Knight Optical offer a range of Stock Polarisers that can be used in the visible range for use with cameras/photography. Linear Polarisation can be split into P-Polarised (Light where the electric field is Parallel to the plane of incidence) and S-Polarised (Light where the electric field is Perpendicular to the plane of incidence) light, where a polariser can be used to eliminate one plane of polarisation. This is done to decrease ‘glare’ (reflections on the surface) when an image is being taken, and increase the contrast. This is used often with cameras to obtain ‘better’ image quality at the expense of an image that appears slightly darker. Knight Optical also keep stock a UV and NIR range of sheet polarisers, for use with cameras outside of the typical visible range. Knight Optical offer a range of Stock N-BK7 Precision Grade Windows, for use with Thermal Imagining Cameras. Infrared radiation is characterised by the wavelengths ranging from 750nm to 1000µm. Although typically used for the visible range, N-BK7 does have transmission within the near infrared spectrum also. Where IR materials such as Germanium are limited to a small band in the IR spectrum, N-BK7 works well throughout the entire visible and into the NIR, making it a perfect material for a protective window for using within a Thermal Imaging Camera. A low cost material, it is perfect substrate for your protective window. We can supply both stock and custom N-BK7 windows to protect your thermal imaging application. The compact versions of our xiX PCIe camera series, equipped with Sony Pregius™ CMOS sensors, are the ideal choice for system integrators with complex setups and high bandwidth demands. The xiB cameras stream images to the host computer via 4 lanes on a PCI Express Gen2 bus, boasting an impressive 20 Gbit/s of bandwidth. Together with minimal latencies the CPU load, the PCIe technology is ideal for high resolution CMOS sensors. The cameras are compactly housed in 60 x 60 x 38 mm, can be fully synchronized with their multiple GPIOs and offer an active Canon EF-Mount. All properties are extremely useful in multi-camera applications like 360 panoramas. In situations where multiple camera heads need to be placed in close proximity, system integrators can combine and aggregate the data streams from cameras with various resolutions via additional accessories.

The models of the xiB-64 series with selected Luxima, CMOSIS and GPixel sensors range from variants with 1.1 Mpix resolution and over 3,600 fps to 65.4 Mpix at 76 fps. The xiB-64 series combines high speed and high resolution in a compact package (60mm x 70mm x 40mm). XIMEA supports more than 30 of the most popular machine vision libraries, including Mathworks Matlab, MVTec HALCON, National Instruments LabVIEW, MicroManager, and OpenCV. The XIMEA CamTool is a cross-platform viewer application that is capable of setting most camera parameters, controlling various features, displaying the video stream, and saving snapshots and sequences.
