CTP‘s MultiTherm is a combined process. It consists essentially of a thermal oxidation and one or more upstream or downstream processes fitted to the application. These could be heat recovery, wet scrubbing and DeNOx, among others. Our burner system has managed the simultaneous combustion of many highly variable waste streams.

Our efficient 500 kW boilers use an advanced dual stage burner, 3-way valve system and smart controls to optimise temperature control and minimise fuel burn and emissions. From a small footprint they deliver maximum heat output, with pressures up to 10 bar and temperatures up to 90ºC. Canopy casing has a small footprint for ease of transportation. Cast iron 3-pass flue boiler allows for excellent combustion, stable temperatures and reduced short-cycling. Dual stage burner accurately matches fluctuating heat requirements and achieves lower emissions at part-load operation. Integrated 3-way valve ensures operating temperature is quickly achieved, maintains tight temperature control and reduces short-cycling. Skids can be supplied in accordance with national and international norms and standards. One specialty of Europem is the design and fabrication of ATEX zone 0 skids for the collection and transport of explosive vapours.

Europem ignition systems and pilot burners have been developed for their continuous reliable operation in harsh environments and in all weather conditions. High grade alloys are used and critical parts are mounted in protective housings to ensure the long lifetime of the equipment. Both High Energy electronic spark ignition and flame front ignition systems are offered. Flame Front Ignition (FFG) systems have been used as the workhorse of the flare industry for many years. The FFG pilot ignition line is filled with a combustible gas/air mixture, then ignited by a spark on the ignition skid to generate a flame front travelling through the ignition line up to the flare burner. This flame front subsequently ignites the pilot gas and the waste gas in the flare burner. Both manual and automatic flame front ignition systems can be offered. High Energy Electronic spark ignition uses a high voltage electric arc to ignite the combustible pilot air-gas mixture. The arc is generated at fixed intervals for a limited period of time. EP-ESPI Electronic Spark Ignition EP-FFGI Flame Front Ignition EP-CIS Combined Electronic and FFG Ignition systems can be supplied with either Manual or Automatic ignition controls, or a combination of both. For safe areas and for explosion proof areas, either onshore or offshore and with retractable or non-retractable ignitor rods. Pilot Burners Pilot burners can combine one or more of the ignition systems described above and with a continuous flame to ensure that combustible waste gas mixtures are always ignited and combusted. This Burner design is for use in forced draft or natural draft vertical combustors and thermal oxidisers and has a high turn-down capability. The venturi flame holder ensures that the flame remains stable under varying load conditions. The flame holder design ensures a stable gas flow around the flame and also controls the split between combustion air and cooling air in the vicinity of the burner head. EUROPEM Natural Draft and Forced Draft Burners A robust, low pressure drop burner design, used for burning waste gas and/or gaseous fuel in vertical combustors and thermal oxidisers. Can be installed as a single burner or used in a system as a central burner with additional satellite burners.
