Control of all labeling jobs from the ERP system Order processing software _orderProcessing.BRAIN retrieves entire labeling jobs from the ERP system in form of XML files and entirely autonomously controls price labeling lines via _connect.BRAIN. Labeling can be performed on a single-job basis with different items or on a per-item basis for different customers. All relevant data is called up by _orderProcessing.BRAIN and the actual production data is returned once the job is complete.

In addition to the strip speed, VRecoS also records up to three further tracks, such as the rolling force or the strip thickness at the ingoing and outgoing ends of the mill. The measurement protocols can be stored, printed out and distributed by e-mail. The measured values are recorded as a function of length. The recording frequency can be set with a scanning rate of 2 ms. Random lengths of strip at the leading and trailing ends (drop-off) can be suppressed, even subsequently. The signals are recorded using a data collector belonging to the scope of supply. Its electronics with input and output modules is designed for installation in switch cabinets or desks in interference-proof 24 Volt top-hat (DIN) rail technology. It transmits the data via a network cable to the Windows recording computer which can be supplied by Vollmer or by the customer.

VGraph is the software package for the recording and visualisation of data with extensive statistical data evaluation options. It synchronously records up to 16 measurement values – for example thickness, width and speed of the strip, rolling force or strip tension – on a production line, stores them and evaluates them statistically. With statistical functions such as histograms, Cp and CpK values and error lists, VGraph provides valuable decision aids for the evaluation and further use of the coil produced. The diagnostic instruments allow optimisation of the rolling process and the line engineering. The optional FFT analysis detects periodic fluctuations in the strip thickness. VGraph meets the needs of day-to-day strip production. One example: Random lengths of strip at the leading and trailing ends (drop-off) can be suppressed – even subsequently – in the statistical evaluations.

The TechViz's Fusion option is a unique technology that enables the merge the 3D content from separate 3D applications in real time. The motive and ground base of this functionality is that, today, companies have several departments/teams using dedicated 3D applications (CAD, simulation, visualization). They will share their work, so as to consolidate and validate the product development. 3D results of different 3D applications (Dassault Systemes Catia V5, Autodesk Naviswork, Siemens PLM NX, etc.) are merged in the visualization process. Interact Instantly with your Digital Instrument Clusters, Digital Infotainment, Navigation Systems, Digital Speedometer, Digital Electronic Control Unit, Digital climate control or any kind of HMI in your product design. The aim is to emulate a touch-sensitive interaction with HMI in an immersive environment. These HMI are independent 2D applications integrated in the mock-up. For exemple in a virtual car, user’s fingers can be tracked thanks to a thimble for interaction with the virtual GPS interface. The collision between the interaction tool and the user interface emulates a computer mouse click. It enables to create various scenarios such as testing hand accessibility to the main commands from the driver seat of a car.

Software ProCable - CAQ-System customized for cable producer requirements With the CAQ-system ProCable test plans can be developped, orders administrated and the recieved test results can be archived with corresponding additional information into the data bases. ProCable generates a list of results from the measurements according to the applied test plans. Afterwards the test results are deposited structured and accurately. ProCable adapt achieve test results with the test plans. Possible exceeding of tolerance limits will be told on the user at once. The user can be repeating the measurement or will be forced to comment the exceptional circumstances.

Thanks to TechViz TVZLib API, developers can easily modify or create their existing desktop 3D application for a similar use within a VR environment. They can do so by programming their own functionalities, as well as easily integrating tracking information as inputs for real time 3D navigation and interaction, instead of only using a keyboard and a mouse. Furthermore all VR prerequisites are handled transparently by the TechViz XL core. TechViz offers a programming library that can be adapted to a broad range of programming languages (C, C++, c#, python…). Integrating this C library within one OpenGL based developed application, users can either get back information from what is happening within the 3D environment or call TechViz functionalities. For instance: navigation functions when developing a new metaphor of navigation – virtual driver of navigation.

TechViz XL is a virtual prototyping software acting like a driver to capture directly your 3D model. The Virtual Assembly option of this immersive 3D visualization software has a universal part recognition engine that allows part selection and manipulation. Application connectors like CATIA Connector, Navisworks Connector... used in addition to the Virtual Assembly option provide with part information, as they are defined in the PLM database.
