The system installs a membrane which divides the alcoholic liquid from an extractant (generally water). A joint-action of diffusion and natural osmosis makes ethanol molecules migrate to the extracting fluid removing the alcohol content. The hyperfiltration plant (commonly known as reverse osmosis) allows the removal of a part of water by a semipermeable membrane and the action of a high pressure. The membrane is made of an organic material (polymer), with thickness of few microns, and supported from another organic material (supporting polymer). For the oenological application of the reverse osmosis, Bared use spiral membranes. Possible application of this plant is product concentration at various percentages: · max sugar recovery (up to 99%) · partial recovery (up to 60%) · concentration of coloured matter · partial or total rejection of acidity and salts.

Ionic exchange polymers, when in touch with a solution containing salt compounds (i.e. ions), exchange certain ions with other ions having the same electric charge. In particular, potassium ions can be exchanged with hydrogen ions which will create a new tartaric acid molecule. Moreover, other ions, such as calcium, iron and copper, are partially exchanged. This treatment lowers the pH giving added protection against bacterial attacks (for example rettanomyces) which could generate anomalous fermentations.

The machine accurately doses gold and silver grains for the prodcution of bullions and cast bars. The Preci-dos is completely automatic, with dosing cells and grains transfers completely controlled by PLC. It has a number of steps to achieve accurate control on final weight. The grains container in the machine are loaded by gravity into the pre-dosing scale, to approach the final desired weight. After the pre-dosing step, a second phase starts to reach the final desired weight by adding a controlled quantity of gold or silver wire or powder (depending on customer specification) and the discharge the correct quantity of material into a container. To maintain accuracy and productivity, the machine is capable of self-learning, based on the continuous use. In particular the machine can statistically anticipate the average drop time of a single grain, to avoid overshoot.

The C 19, a double effect concentrator operating under vacuum, is the result of a special study taking into consideration specific operating needs; its performance is as good as the most sophisticated multiple effect equipment using a descending veil. Ideal for wine producers who wish to maintain uniform quality unaffected by the vagaries of the climate, the technique is used to carry out oenological practices especially suitable for enriching sugar and maintaining the right balance of components in the must to ensure that the wineís typical features remain unaltered. Application of this technique is particularly successful with must from red grapes as it produces wine with enhanced tannin content and a richer colour. An efficient scraped heat exchanger is used in the final stages of the process and reduces the temperature of the concentrate to an optimum value, either for storage or for immediate addition to the mass.
