Rigid RIGID VINYL CHLORIDE, PVC belongs to the thermoplastics category and has an amorphous structure, high solidity and a high modulus of elasticity. It has excellent elec- trical properties, especially in the low voltage and frequency field. It is used with temperatures between – 10°C and + 60°C. Up to temperatures of 60°C, rigid PVC is stable against the majority of diluted or concentrated acids. Rigid PVC is physiologically inert. The possibility of using products in the food sector depends exclusively on the type of stabilisation. It is a good electrical insulator and absorbs little water; it can also be welded and glued.

The Modular Tooling Systems for Transfer Presses consist of arms and pneumatic clamps, these clamps allow the gripping of the sheet metal pieces for their movement to the subsequent work phases. It is also possible to use compensation slides or groups of actuators to realize auxiliary movements on the transfer lines. A simple design, a fast assembly and a rapid development can be achieved by using modular components, such as terminals of various types, extensions, joints and regulation elements. Two types of Brackets can be used for the junctions. The first type consists of friction brackets with open rings that are tightened by appropriate screws. These brackets can move along a tube, hence, the adjustment of the position can be done either along the axis of the tube or angularly. The second type of bracket consists of gear brackets that can fit any requirement thanks to an Exclusive Modular System. With only 8 pieces it is possible to reach unlimited combinations.

The End-of-Arm Tooling system for Sheet Metal handling named Octopus Grip consists in an octogonal-shaped central arm, attached to the wrist of the Robot Grips, specifically studied to be highly resistant to deflections/vibrations, with holes for the internal passage of air, and two or four patented quick ball coupling systems. The quick ball coupling systems allow the reconfiguration of the Robot Grips by simply changing their end effectors, in this case the tentacles of the Octopus Grip, that can be easily unhooked and placed close to the Robot Grips by a single operator on a vertical warehouse, allowing for savings in time required for changing the tools, and in storage space. The Octopus Grip system is highly flexible, from which it derives its name.
